On January 4, 2023, AKKO entered into a consent agreement (File No. 71385/SK E-Case No. 2924) brought against the company by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The agreement stemmed from allegations that AKKO solicited, sold, and issued service contracts in Minnesota while unregistered, in violation of Minnesota statute 59B(2022).
As part of the consent order, Akko will pay $4,800 in civil penalties and $42 dollars for investigation costs. AKKO must cease and desist from any future violation.
