    I applied at the Work while app and was accepted to work. I completed the orientation only to find that there is no jobs listed in my area. I love fairly close to major cities, so I'm unsure how there are no jobs available. I feel that if there was nothing available they would have known that before I wasted my time doing the orientation. This company seems like a scam to me. All I wanted was a job and I feel as if I was led on by this company.

    I am an independent contractor for WorkWhile I worked on December the 14th and was clocked in and never received wages. For that date I then worked again on the 30th for the last home game for the Commanders. I've contracted with Workwhile for six months now and haven't had any issues other than the lies from tech support. I reached out to Workwhile about my pay for the 30th and I was informed I'd be paid between the 30th and the 5th. I never had any issues with this company while contracting now I've been sat because I complained that I was told I'd get paid yesterday and never did after they told me they were sending the money to my account since I couldn't access my account.

    on our end, it shows that ******** was paid for their shift on December 14th. According to location tracking, ******** is seen spending 1.5 hours on site and was paid for that time.

    WorkWhile is a Gig Economy app that promises to connect independent contractors with third-party businesses. I entered the verification process, which included signing paperwork and submitting personal information, because I wanted to apply for a gig at ***************. The app promises that verification will take 1-2 business days, and customer service representatives promise that it will take ***** hours. Based on my experience with **** and the simplicity of the task, I expected it to take less than 12 hours. It has now been 92 hours since I submitted my paperwork to be verified on Monday night. The customer service representatives have been no help. They vaguely promise that they will "reach out to the reviewer" and "do our best to expedite the review," but it has been 20 hours since I last received such a promise, and there have been no developments. Overall, the team must either be slacking off or woefully understaffed, possibly both. They have broken their promise to deal with my verification in a timely manner, which, in a gig app context, can have serious material consequences. This business tends to be very competitive and time-sensitive, and I have been stressing out for the past couple days wondering if I would be verified before someone else snapped up the ****** occurred to me to contact the business directly. That's when I started to notice the next problem. The business name was "*****************," but the logo read ******************* I ran a reverse image search on the logo, and found out that it had only ever been used on stock image sites like Adobe and Shutterstock. Something is very fishy with this listing. I haven't contacted WorkWhile about it. I don't expect they would care. On top of that, the design of the app makes it difficult to find your way through all the pre-written FAQ pages and get to an actual customer service representative. At this point, I plan to terminate my account.

    We've investigated the issue further and there was a bug in our system that has now been fixed. **** is eligible for W2 shifts and she can now accept shifts on our platform.

    I signed up for a shift on workwhile. I showed up on time but I couldn't clock in. I immediately contacted support via chat. I was told to take a picture of a sign in sheet. I did. I was told then that the date needed to be on the time sheet, but I could wait until I clocked out to take a picture of it. Meanwhile my account was blocked for being a no show and there is no clear way to contact workwhile except for the chat to which no one responded from the previous chat and there was no way to start a new one. So I worked for 5 and a half hours but I was accused of being a no show and my account is blocked, two inappropriate actions and most importantly, they owe me my wages.

    I worked a job for *** via WorkWhile on 9/7/2024 from 4pm to 12:52am. I still haven't been paid. Payment is still in pending status. *** has approved work. There's no way to contact WorkWhile directly, no phone number or chat.

    I been waiting for payment for a shift I worked August 11th and I have yet to receive anything from them in terms of compensation. The app is horrible and makes is near impossible to get any help. Would recommend any other app

    On Thursday August 1, 2024 I used their platform to work as an independent contractor for this business. They paid me on their app but theres no way to transfer that payment from their app to my bank account because the app crashes. The weekly ach transfer doesnt work either. They only have FAQs and no way to contact their support team.

    After reviewing *****' account, I'm showing from within Stripe, our payment provider for cash outs, shows that ***** cashed out on August 7th to the card they added to their account. It shows that the cash out was successful (Screenshot) and the card the money was transferred to was the card that was added byJesus.

    I have worked for this Company on 06/20/2024 from 4:00am - 11:00am. However, it has been a week later and I still haven't heard anything. The chat help section they have is from employees that are international Not in the U.S. I have Given My Concern Everyday since the last day and Neither of them can do Anything about Me not being paid but say. We have escalated this issue. There are no numbers or emails with this company, No One willing, Able, or Anyone that Cares to Help. After doing my research I am not the First Employee that has been through this working a Full Day's Pay Without Being paid. I have been told by supervisor that work the Factor 75 Floor That My Time has been Entered 5 days Ago, That I would be Paid Immediately. YET A Week Later I have Not Been Paid. After my Hard Work. It cost $25 to Uber to and From this Company for me to work and support my Family. *** No 1 Hire up seems to care. Why have Employees that you Refuse to Pay or Care about there situations. There is literally no way to Receive Help on this App! I have tried my best to be Patient, but the only way to get someone to care is to leave reviews any where that you can. I am a very humble Hard Worker for my Family. Why put People in this situation with no means to Receive Help if they really need it. The Work While Leads and Supervisors have told me that it has been taken care of *** the Chat Support says Something totally different. They Do Not Communicate with Each Other, and do not *********** Know what stands to happen if you have worked for other companies before them. I only come here so that this won't happen to someone else that spends all there funds to come to Work and not get paid for it after having to go home from 7-10 hours shift! This is *** and Ridiculous leaving no way for Employees to Get Paid or Speak to Anyone about not being paid. I'm positive that the companies they send Employees out to does not make them wait on there Payment for Employees! MY Worst Experience Ever!

    The company is working people and don't want to pay for hours worked. And that's against the law.

    WorkWhile has received the timesheets from the previous weekend where we confirmed JC did sign in and work. He will be paid in the next pay cycle for his W2 shift. He was previously blocked because he was not clocked in by a shift lead on site. This should now be resolved.

    I was lead to believe that I would be paid for my orientation, and the only reason that I am at all upset about the fact that I wasnt is because after I finished it all there arent even any jobs in my area! Its a scam and if it wasnt I wouldve been informed that they didnt have work available for my area before I wasted my time going through their orientation!

    Workers are able to download the WorkWhile app to accept jobs available within their area. As a job marketplace, we match workers to jobs within their area and are at a first come first serve basis. Employers on our site are able to post jobs whenever there is a need. I can see that ***** is in an area where we don't have many job opportunities at the moment, but we allow workers to recommend or refer businesses for our team to get in contact with to post jobs on our platform for workers to receive a referral bonus. 

    In regards to our orientation, it is part of our onboarding process to be eligible for shifts and to learn how to use our application for when workers are getting ready to accept a shift.
