Quick Loans America came to BBB’s attention in October 2023.  Complaints processed by BBB state  consumers apply for and are approved for a loan. Complaints state a deposit is then made, but the consumer is asked by the company to repay back this money immediately. They are told this will rise their credit core, and they will then qualify for an increased loan amount. Consumers then find out from their bank that the deposits made to their account were with fraudulent check.

BBB was able to confirm that the San Francisco address displayed on their former website does not belong to Quick Loans America, and the company at that location has no affiliation with this company.

BBB warns against companies asking for up-front fees; although legitimate lenders may charge application, appraisal or credit report fees, the fees generally are taken from the amount borrowed. It is illegal for companies doing business by phone in the US and Canada to promise you a loan and ask you to pay for it before they deliver. BBB also warns against wiring money or sending money orders through Western Union or making your payment to an individual rather than an organization as there are no safeguards in place.
