  Lending Hub America came to BBB’s attention in April 2024. Complaints processed by BBB state consumers would apply for a loan and told that their loan is approved, however the loan was never received. Complainants state the company either informed the consumer that the money once deposited had to be sent back and later redeposited or a money transfer is required due to "low credit score."  The consumers never received the loan and attempts to reach the company are met with disconnected phone numbers or being hung up on.
  
  BBB attempted to reach out to the company in an attempt to address the serious nature of the complaints. We have been unable to reach anyone by phone or email but have confirmed that the address displayed on the company’s website in San Francisco, CA does not belong to Lending Hub America, but belongs to a company that has no affiliation with this company.

  BBB warns against companies asking for up-front fees; although legitimate lenders may charge application, appraisal or credit report fees, the fees generally are taken from the amount borrowed. It is illegal for companies doing business by phone in the US and Canada to promise you a loan and ask you to pay for it before they deliver. BBB also warns against wiring money or sending money orders through western union or making your payment to an individual rather than an organization as there are no safeguards in place.
