SCAMMERS!!!! They advertise psychiatry but heavily PUSH basic therapy. I booked with a supposed psychiatrist, who is experiencing the worst burnout. She pouted the entire time, kept her head in her hands the whole time and huffed and puffed if she had to ask me a question. She barely did anything for ***************************************************************** my area. So absolutely no services were provided and I still had to pay full price for NOTHING! They will take your money and then tell you to seek out real professional help because they offer NOTHING. I highly recommend **** to anyone who is in need of therapy. Brightside isn't here to help you, only scam you!

The therapist I have been talking with is great. She is very attentive and very helpful. The problem is that most everything else you need has to be done through their help staff who you you work with through the app they provide. They take a VERY long time to reply, sometimes not at all. They also get the question wrong so the answer they provide is of no help. I have yet to find a phone number where you can actually talk to some one about their broken process.

They are crooks! I waited for a provider for over 15 minutes for an appointment and they never showed up. I sent a message to support stating she never showed up. I was then charged $165 by Brightside stating that I never showed up! I am waiting for a response from their customer support on this, but I highly doubt I will receive one. I was given an incorrect medication based on a condition I have, which the provider never read over my history of conditions, which almost landed me in the *** I submitted a message about that and never received an actual response. Just a generic email stating they will get back to me in 2-3 business days days, which they did not.

Where do I begin Imagine finding the therapist you've dreamed about, and you see success happening every moment. Then, a few months in, with no warning at all, the facility (brightside) ends your service stating they no longer accept your insurance and to continue you must pay 400$ a month. They then say you have a few weeks, until March 6th, but 2 weeks before that date they close your account. No way to make an exit plan. No care involved. If you have depression or anxiety, please heed my warning and don't use brightside with insurance. Unless you're willing to experience what i have. Its so detrimental to mental health, the lack of care. The psychiatric providers aren't very compassionate at all, and i had to keep changing until i found someone who somewhat resembled what a human being should be, but barely. The therapists are awesome. It's a shame that i was hung out to dry the way they did. Im disgusted, distraught and left feeling near defeated. All i want is to warn others. Ill stick with church, the Bible, and *****. Only trust worthy thing guaranteed in this fallen world. I pray brightside goes out of business.

The literal worst. I spoke with a provider for 10 minutes, she informed me that my current medication was the appropriate course. I appreciated her candor and she told me that she would seek to have my fees waived. Fast forward, Brightside informs me that since I met with a provider, regardless of the outcome, I have to pay. Paid $300 for a 10 minute call. When I tried to message my provider, Brightside systems indicated that I had never met with her - yet again, I was charged for an entire month, for one 10 minute call.Avoid.

Brightside randomly decided to stop accepting any insurance purchased on health care marketplace, which is utter ***. I was not given an advanced warning that this was happening, just sent an email that my insurance was no longer accepted and no explanation as to why. I had to call and find out on my own. I was then prompted to purchase a monthly plan. Absolutely not. This was so frustrating as I've built a relationship with my therapist and then essentially kicked off the platform. Also, I had a previous therapist cancel appointments with me multiple times, sometimes within 24 hours. But if I were to cancel within 24 hours I would be charged a cancellation fee. Not a good platform. Do not recommend.

The only thing more unstable & erratic than a psychiatric patient are the providers and billing department at Brightside health.

They do not publish this on their website, but you will pay much more if you try to use insurance. I messaged the admin team on the day of my first therapy appointment to ask what I’d be charged. I never heard back, but I did receive an invoice for $160. In the interim I had my first psychiatry appointment, for which I was charged $198. The advertised cash price is $349 for four therapy appointments and a month of psychiatry. If I had been made aware of the price difference, I would have paid cash. I had no idea that paying through insurance would effectively cost me double. Shame on Brightside for being deceitful and non-transparent with people in crisis.

The worst mental health provider experience *** had bar NONE. When I onboarded they matched me with a random provider who met with me for a few minutes max. Then I was expected to re meet with him on a VERY FREQUENT cadence despite only needing basic med management. In fact when we did meet, wed spend less than 1 minute on the phone because the meeting was POINTLESS. They also kept switching out my provider, and every time I was assigned a new one I was told I had to meet with them, which again meant a 2 minute meeting just for them to read my chart. Once I got fed up and tried to cancel, I spent MONTHS attempting to contact their customer service, all while getting increasingly aggressive text messages and emails from them about how my provider needed to speak with me. Brightside clearly preys on individuals with mental health issues. DO NOT spend your money and even more importantly your time on their SCAM of a service

When I took on this program it was because I was at my ***** end with ADD/ADHD, and needing to get help. When I started everyone was great. I got switched two different time on BLACK LABEL USAGES. Psychiatry was the least of my worries. The therapist was not a match for me. At first all was good, then i Got pregnant and the therapist started telling me that my body is different now and my emotions have to do with my pregnancy when i made it abundantly clear I wanted to know why I felt that way PRIVY to the pregnancy. What ****** me off the most is when I canceled my services Brightside took it upon themselves to AUTO CHARGE MY BANK ACCOUNT FOR 832$ EVEN THOUGH i found the website through my insurance. why WAS I GIVEN NO MONTHLY BILL... why was i never notified there were balances and why did you keep seeing me if there was a balance. You took all my rent money which put me in a deeper situation. THEN WHEN I EMAILED YOU AND TRIED TO CALL I GOT NO RESPONSE AT ALL. THIS COMPANY IS MONEY HUNGRY AND JUST AWFUL. DO NOT WASTER A DOLLAR WITH THEM EVER AGAIN. What is even sillier is my bank agreed and I won the disputes.... so PLEASE RUN HARD FAST AND DONT LOOK BACK.
