1 starIf I could give zero stars, I would. My stay at this apartment has been an absolute nightmare from day one. First of all, management is completely unreachablethey never respond to phone calls or emails no matter how serious the issue. Youre on your own here, and thats just the beginning of the disaster.The apartment is filthy, and it stays that way. The bathrooms are especially disgusting, rarely cleaned, and clearly not maintained. People constantly throw cigarette butts all over the porch and in the planters, creating a disgusting, trashy environment.Ive even had issues with tenants trying to get into my car while I was sitting in itcompletely unsafe and unacceptable. On top of that, the app for the property is never updated, leaving you guessing about everything from maintenance to trash schedules.Speaking of the property: its literally falling apart. Door handles have come off in my hand, once locking me inside a room for over 30 minutes. Mold is growing on the window ***** and ceilings, which is a serious health hazard. Ive had things stolen multiple times, and security is clearly nonexistent.The trash situation is disgustingpickup is inconsistent at best. After a week, trash piles up so much it has to sit inside the apartment or on the porch for two weeks or more, rotting and attracting ******* if thats not enough, Ive come home from work on more than one occasion to find a gentleman leaving the toilet unflushed and used in the most disrespectful ****** yes, there was f**** in the shower. That is beyond unhygienic and utterly revolting.This place is a biohazard, a safety risk, and a total scam. Do not rent here unless you enjoy filth, being ignored, and having your basic safety and dignity constantly compromised.Review fromCandise H

1 starI have had an extremely negative experience with Bungalow and would discourage anyone from working with them or renting from them. My room was advertised as $950/month but ended up being around $1400 due to service fees. I contacted them earlier this year regarding a potential early move-out, but after their representative ****** informed me that i would have to pay several thousand dollars in fees, i agreed to stay there and ****** stated that he would close the move-out request. A month or so later i received a 14 day pay or vacate notice that listed $2700 in move-out fees, and claimed that I had not paid monthly rent because my rent payment was applied to move-out costs. I have emailed them multiple times and this has not been resolved, i am now consulting a lawyer. I am devoting massive amounts of time and mental energy to a mistake that could be fixed in a minute on their end, when i have been paying rent consistently for years. If the company wishes to look up my account it is for a property on ******** in ******* and i sent them a detailed email on April 20th.Review fromJazzmine G

1 starI plan on writing a review every chance I get as long as it saves the next person the hassle of having to deal with this company. I was a landlord that was tricked. In the beginning, they have employees that lie to you say that they are renting their properties through the company and the benefits like rent protection so if the tenants dont pay, they will still pay you. They are supposed to take highly qualified tenants only (not true). They started an infection process without my knowledge and left my house vacant for months without telling. My property manager was fired without my knowledge and left me without a replacement. I had to send countless emails for a weeks to figure out what was going on. Just for the company to give me back my home in a beat up condition. The company lacks communication and accountability. They will do anything to get out of doing repairs in the beginning I was told I couldnt have the tenants information but now all of a sudden when it comes to getting repairs done, they are saying the tenant is responsible and giving me their information. 1 starBungalow is the worst company weve ever worked with! We emailed them 4 weeks ago and followed up 3 times regarding multiple concerns like tenants misusing a bedroom that is supposed to be vacant and them charging ** renewal fees for a tenant who didnt even renewal their lease. Weve communicated with them before on the same email thread so we know our emails are going to the right people but we have yet to hear from them. Theyre also setting the rent prices however they want just to get tenants in. Even after weve told them that we didnt agree on the rate, they lowered it even more. Weve been reporting the same issues for over 6 months and the only action Bungalow has ever taken was relaying the message to the tenants. We hired Bungalow to manage our property but were spending more time basically managing them who isnt doing any kind of management at all!Review fromDenval O

Non existent management unless it pertains to paying rent. They don't even vet their own tenants outside of checking income. I don't have all day to interview 6 people a day to check if they're a good fit for the home, that's THEIR job. No mediation with roommate issues and VERY slow to fix issues. We spent 2 weeks without hot water and if it wasn't for me working with the home owner, we probably STILL would be without hot water. Yet they'll raise the cost on cleanings that we can't opt out of quickly. It couldn't be any less apparent that they only care about getting your money.Bungalow

They've repeatedly moved in roommates even though our home gave people "fair shots", they took no action when a roommate threatened my life, or when they made messes that violated the lease. They literally just want the rental paycheck, and only enforce their policies when it benefits them -- yeah, just like every other corporation. I would bet they'll remove this post because they put everything on the resident. Maintenance, even though it's up to them, my past roommates have been charged for wear and tear maintenance from past roommates, and one time they were charged when the bathroom's plumbing burst -- how is that their fault? How could they be charged for that *legally*?For me, the worst part is the customer service. The employees have lied directly to me, and I've called them out for it, removing a deep cleaning bill that I wasn't responsible for it. They claim we didn't reach out to them within 48 hours to get our cleaning that *they failed to schedule*, and they were emailed, and my app seems to have failed on TWO occasions to submit a request. Guess that means we never asked or tried, so we're responsible for cleaning the entire shared space AND paying the full monthly service fee, IN ADDITION to the new fees they just added.In conclusion, I think housing is a human right and companies like Bungalow actively make America harder to live in for the most, if not all, working-class people.Bungalow
