I had my cards linked to this app. And now I am not able to claim any of the rewards. Every Thursday they say they release the rewards however they are never available or there for the people using the app. Its a scam they take all your information, use your data to track you and then you are stuck. They dont give the rewards everyone signed up for.Business response

Drop is a company that allows you to collect points for connecting your credit cards to the Drop App. Your transaction data is what Drop is getting, and probably selling. What you are supposed to get, is drop points that in theory can be redeemed for gift cards once a week on Thursday. The problem is, every Thursday at 10am(pst) I click redeem on a $25 gift card (there used to be higher denominations, but now they are down to either $5 or $25) within 2-5 seconds of them becoming available, but every week I get the same response. Which is sorry, all the gift cards have been claimed. If you look at other comments online, I dont see any data points that ANYONE is getting gift cards. It seems like drop is running a complete scam on their customers. I have over ***************************** points, which is equivalent to about $71 worth of gift cards. I have no way of getting a gift card with the current state of the drop app. What they received from me was hundreds, if not thousands of pieces of transaction data from my credit cards, which was likely sold to data brokers of some kind.Business response

Drop has become a complete scam/fraud over the last year. The premise of the app is that you connect your credit cards, they gather data from your information, and in return, you get to redeem gift cards based on your spending. Originally, you could redeem gift cards at any time. Then, last year they switched the business model. They refunded everyone's pending gift cards. They instated a weekly gift card "drop", where you can only redeem 1 gift card per week, and only up to $25. Each week, I logged in at exactly the time of the "drop" (1pm ET) and within 2, 3, 5, 6, and 10 seconds the gift cards were "sold out". If you do an internet search, you'll find MANY users who have had the same experience. The business is clearly not holding up their end of the app, which is rewarding users with gift cards for sharing their data. There is NO gift cards anymore. It's a total fraudulent scam.Business response

This is from Drps website: Apr 27, 2024, 16:39 PDT Drop Studio Returns and Exchanges We stand by our products. However if you are not satisfied with your Drop Studio product, Drop is accepting standard returns and exchanges for both US and International customers on most Drop Studio items in like new condition within 30 days of delivery.Drop Studio items are considered eligible for return if they:Are marked on the product page via a note stating "RETURNSNO QUESTIONS ASKED"RETURNS.png Are in "like new" condition as described below:Items will be free of cosmetic defects and in perfect working condition All original components intact: Inclusive of any included inserts or additional materials. Be in original packaging and with have minimal damage Are in the mail within ********************************************************* exchange their eligible Drop Studio items for a full refund (minus shipping fees) by visiting drop.com/support.I asked to return items as they were too harsh for my ears, I used my own eartips and both the headphones and IEM's were in new condition and it clearly states this on their web page or I would not have ordered them in the first place. They said these do not qualify for return. I just want to return for my money back less shipping just as they stated, I emailed them within the first 2 days as soon as I got to listen to them but sadly couldnt because they hurt my ears.Business response

I have been a user of this app since it was released and within the past year they have been holding customer's funds hostage. I along with many others are unable to convert their points into redeemable gift cards. There is a new process for redeeming but it always yields the same message explaining that we "just missed it." I fear the company will do what many others have done in the past and close up shop with our funds.Business response

On Thursday March 28, 2024 I did the lottery for a gift card on this app as they have completely overhauled how they allow you to redeem your points. It is almost impossible to even get a gift card. I auctually got a gift card a while $5 I couldnt believe it. Until I got the email to redeem my gift card. The redeem now button doesnt work and when it wast of that doesnt work to copy and paste the link into the browser. There was no link. After contacting support I was able to resend the email to myself. It was the same thing. Contacted support again. I was told they are going to go back to sending a code and they are working on this issue. This website is a total scam even when they tell you that you got a gift card they do not honor it and they send you a non working email. They also take your points. I have over $50 in points to redeem and it looks like that will never happen or I will just lose them instead of getting a gift card. This app sells your information and does not hold up their end of the deal. If they are bankrupt or cannot provide the rewards to members they need to stop leading people on. They will never pay you out.Business response

Ordered on there website with all items in stock and ready to ship. On delivey date only one item was delivered, contacted drop.com and was told that my order was split up and was in route but two items would not ship until 4/2 almost a month later. When I asked about this delay I was told they had to move stock, but date I was given was the SAME as if I was to purchase that day. I gave it a few days and did not hear back from support and reached out again, but this time I was told it was special order and was NOT in stock? At this point I realized I was being lied to and this company hires dishonest customer service representatives. They have avoided me for the last few days with multiple attempts at contacting. Iv attached screenshots of email between two different agents so they cant say Im lying. Also I did read the in stock policy, per drops website any items listed in stock are in stock and ready to ship. This was NOT a group buy. If it was it is not listed on product page or website. This company lies and deceives to get customer to buy, as they only allow cancellation 2 hours after payment. I would like to be contacted by DROP.COM and not a corsair customer service representative, as you can see by email they have all been from Corsair.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
Business is wanting me to close case with new excuse for not shipping products purchased, per there website items in stock and ready to ship. Im being told now that the reps do not have factual inventory information and just tell customers whatever they feel like. Iv attached the email Drop sent me. Why they could not respond on here idk but I think that potential customers should know that this business will let there customer service reps lie while they give you a completely different reason. Will only **** as resolved when item ships and business puts a notice on website of shipping and warehouse issues as the person who saw my complaint and replied to me states.

The Drop app allow you to accrue points for completing surveys or for your purchases either through linked credit cards or by going through the app for online purchases. (Tracking and sale of data) These points are supposed to be redeemable for gift cards. They have effectively stopped allowing redemption for gift cards. They say 6 million points worth of gift cards ($6,000) become available every week on Thursday at 1pm Eastern but the second the points are available and you push redeem it immediately says the gift cards are sold out and "try again next week." According to online reports, nobody has been able to successfully redeem for gift cards, it has become a scam. I have unlinked my cards and I hope there is some legal recourse for the millions of users whose data has been sold under false pretenses for (at minimum) many months without compensation.Business response

I have used the drop app for years I have more than ******* points accumulated I have earned in exchange for my personal shopping information. These points used to be able to be redeemed for gift cards to many different retail stores. Several months ago they completely changed how you can redeem these points and limited how frequently (once a week) and how many points you can redeem at at time. The big problem is-every week I log in to redeem my over $300 worth of points for gift cards right when they drop and NEVER get any gift cards. For months I have not been able to redeem these points and the entire thing has become a ruckus and feels like a scam. There is no way I am just missing those gift card drops when I am logged in minutes before the drop and no matter what type of card I try to redeem I always just miss it. Please investigate as I would like the compensation for my participation that they initially were great about and now have seemingly discontinued. Thank youBusiness response

Ive had cards and accounts linked for years on the Drop app, but their services have degraded steadily and steeply over the past year+. Draconian redemption rules mean nothing when the one time per week they allow redemptions, theyre swamped and supposedly sell out of awards which will likely never be honored. What a joke this place turned out to be.Business response
