They shut down my account arbitrarily citing that I made two returns within a 6-month period (ignoring that I've kept 90% of my other orders placed through Rakuten's links). Their so-called fraud department is a joke. Either you have clear policies and can explain why you're flagging my account for fraud, or you don't randomly shut accounts down appropriating all the cashback I've accumulated. Never signing up for this joke of a site again.Rakuten Response

Illegitimate or inconsistent, practically a scam. avoid and use other cashback websites instead. I made a purchase with one monitor during a promotional period as a friend of mine made the same purchase. He received his cashback, but i did not. Now, Rakuten is trying to delay processing of the order despite me waiting 7 days for their original response to "give time for processing" of the order. after 7 days, they told me i should wait up to another 20 days for the processing to be done, this would be well outside of the return period of the item. I have been trying to update my account information for over 7 months without any success. Rakuten's password reset option does not work and their online Help section does not work. In fact, whenever you attempt to submit information using their online Help text boxes, it repeatedly gives you an error message, "Something went wrong. Please retry form resubmit" but it does NOT work. I emailed them for help and received an automated reply to use their online ************ I called their **************** Numbers and they only refer back to their non-functioning Help section. I have NEVER received any money from this company. This is by far the worst online experience and I will not utilize their service again. I wish I could give them negative stars on this review.Rakuten Response

I have used Rakuten (ebates) for ****************************************** Aug 2023 for our trip to ************ for Mar 2024 for 5 nights. The transaction never showed as pending so I contacted the first time in Oct. And at least 14 times after. They said I had to wait til June 4, 2024, 3 mos after travel was complete. Still didn't show pending. Jum 4 came and went, now they ignore all my emails. It was over $5,000 we spent for these accommodations. They don't show any shops I went to for any of 2023 anymore. I believe they had it for 10% at time of purchase. Without the taxes and fees it would have came to $4565.54 that they would owe the 10% cashback.Rakuten Response

The site will freeze up near the end and you cannot finish, after 30 minutes of work. Or you get to the end and they tell you the answer's cannot be tabulated. Total waste of time. Very disappointed and dissatisfied.Rakuten Response

This company is discriminate, sexist and uses profiling to its best! I have close to ************************************************************************ anything that rakuten promises in their agreement they will pay out for doing these surveys. That is a lot of hours I could have used towards making money instead of spending money. I gave ***** to an valuable asset for their customers honest opinion and good insight on consumer products and they did not live up to their end of the bargain and reward me with no more than one point. I had my daughter do the same surveys and answer the questions the same way and she was rewarded immensely. This goes to show sexism and discrimination. They would say that you get 16% cash back for Temu orders, and even opening Temus website from their website it wont get you the cash back. This is a scam to make you buy from those retailers I searched online for others with the same problem and I found out that is not a new thing or something I did wrong. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the recent actions taken against my account. On [insert date], my account was suddenly disabled, and I was accused of violating the terms and conditions by referring friends using supposedly invalid emails. However, upon reviewing your terms and conditions thoroughly, I found no mention of any restrictions regarding the use of emails from family.Furthermore, there is no indication in your terms and conditions that using emails from multiple household members for referral purposes is prohibited. I fail to understand why my account was disabled and why the referral earnings amounting to $80 were taken away without any prior warning or explanation.As a loyal customer of **********************, I have always adhered to the rules and guidelines outlined by your platform. It is disheartening to be penalized unjustly without any clear justification. In May 2024, Rakuten issued a check to me for far less than the accumulated balance. The unpaid rebates are related to purchases as far back as 03/01/2024. There is no reason why a rebate should be pending more than two months after a purchase occurred. I believe Rakuten's processing method has a weakness that results in rebates being withheld for an excessive period of time. I have to wait three more months (until August 2024) to be the remaining balance due to me for March and April 2024 purchases.
