    The company's August smart lock, just did affect me in my business that I have, I have a Airbnb home at ***************, I use the August smart lock there and I did control everything through the app, now I don't have access to my door, the app removed my account, and now I can't use my August smart lock, the customer service representative told me that you can't not use anymore the app if you are outside *******, this change happened and the company August, didn't Inform to their clients or give any option for people like me! That I'm using their products in ******! So unprofessional!!! This company suck!!! I need a solution!! From them!!! Now!!!

    POOR QUALITY - SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE. Yes, this product looks cool... Yes, this product has a great app... but under the glitzy finish is a poor quality product. I know, because I've owned one for a few years - and when the gears inside of the unit started grinding and not turning smoothly, I reached out to the August customer support team. They admitted that the product that they sold me is defective, but because I'm outside of the 1-year warranty, I'm on my own - so sorry! My suggestion for you is that you find a company that offers a better warranty and spend your money on their product instead of the piece of junk that August knows that they are going to sell you.

    Negative 5 Stars if I can. One of the worst **************** experiences I've received. 3 days into ownership (where I bought it directly from August.com), I received and email saying unit price is cheaper by$10. Call customer service for a credit of the difference either in money back or in store credit (to be used on future purchases-yes, I was willing to spend more but I was wrong with this thinking). I was very polite and cordial throughout - even in typing this review. The Agent was not helpful or had a resolution that met the situation. Agent said he has many calls in the queue and will no longer help facilitate me in speaking to a supervisor. Also said his supervisor was not available and that I would need to call back. I was willing to hold - I repeated many times. He simply hung up on me. With so many options for Smart Locks - Go elsewhere. Note: I'm still within my 30-days satisfactory guarantee and I asked for a RMA to return (since I bought it directly via August.com). I didn't even get that. Don't patronage at a company that has bad marketing practices or bad customer agents and bad agent training. Just don't give your money to company like this that does not care. ********** - they got me, alright. But I'm trying to right this wrong. Still going to return this 3 day hold purchase. Will call back again, again until I get my RMA. The agent has a facade - claims he's under policy but did not even give me an RMA. Hanging up was unacceptable. Asking to speak to his supervisor and not being able to do so was unacceptable. Who know what account notes he left in my account. (There are more but sad to see a company spend so much money wrongly.) The $10 store credit would have yielded another sizeable sale. Too Bad! Never again. No one should be make to feel this way.

    I purchased my home from a much older couple who forgot to release ownership of the locks. I called customer service and we were able to get a hold of the owner and he agreed to release ownership. Then ** told that HE has to call august directly for some unknown reason even though there is a recorded conversation of him agreeing. They cant give me his number because they would be a breach of security but apparently him sitting across the country and being able to unlock my home isnt. Idiotic employees and and idiotic company. Absolute morons.

    This company has really fallen apart. I have an Issue with my August app software. After numerous calls and emails my issue isnt resolved and I never got the supervisor interaction I was promised. I have done everything they asked as far as updating restarting reinstalling etc. I even sent a video recording of my phone screen showing the software issue and ZERO help. I use this lock for Airbnb and it has let me down numerous times. These locks are supposed to make things easier, but August seems ok with making things more difficult. Would not recommend August. Look elsewhere for your smart lock needs.

    This is not the way you treat human beings. Purchased 2 Smart locks for my two Airbnb properties. Despite hours on hold over the last two months, and hours on the phone w customer service representatives who almost *never* have adequate information to help me, I have two smart locks that do not work. One has never properly integrated to Airbnb, the other took 2 months to start properly integrating, but prompts me to change the batteries every 2 weeks. This is clearly a defective lock, but even the MANAGER I spoke to (who btw promised to help me after I dealt with incompetent tier 1 team members for two months who gave me wrong information) refuses to exchange my defective lock for another one. He is now telling me to see if the latest update will help the problem (hint...it won't. The last 100 software updates did nothing). The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced anywhere. It does not matter how fake-nice someone is to you, or what script they have memorized, if they are not properly educated on how to effectively troubleshoot the product, give you information about the product, or be honest with you about the product. Wait times are insane. I wish I could go back in time and get the hundreds of dollars and hours of time and energy and stress and sweat back. I would have never purchased these smart locks had I known. It's clear August does not care about their customers. I plan on going to Trust Pilot, Amazon, and the Better Business Bureau to file complaints and reviews. It's clear they don't care about their customers at all, and they deserve to be held accountable after 3 months of being given the run around.
