I have attached the Pathrise Agreement. On Page 7 (highlighted)If I withdraw after the Free Cancellation Period, then I agree to pay Pathrise $250 for every week I was in the Program (not including the Free Cancellation Period). After I pay my withdrawal fee, Pathrise agrees to cancel my Income Based Repayment.I fully complied with these terms and paid the required $750 withdrawal fee.June 7, 2024 Pathrise Confirms Loan Repurchase On June 7, 2024, Pathrise confirmed in writing:Since you are completely withdrawn from the program, any role that you obtain now or in the future will not be counted as a placement with us. Youre only responsible for paying the $750 withdrawal fee and once that is complete, we will reach out to Edly and start the repurchase of your loan to get it canceled.November 13, 2025 Pathrise States Cancellation Requests Were Made Pathrise later stated:To reiterate, Pathrise has already and continues to make cancellation requests on behalf of fellows. Any further steps a fellow wishes to take to pursue their claims will need to be initiated by the fellow between themselves and Edly.February 11, 2026 CEO Escalation Pathrise informed me that Edly was not responding and stated their CEO would escalate the matter:Pathrises CEO will send an email requesting that they get in touch with you ASAP.March 12, 2026 Pathrise Requests Communication From Edly Pathrise stated they would refund the loan but required written communication from Edly:Communications must take place with Edly via REMOVED. Please forward the communication from Edly instructing you that Pathrise must disburse the funds in order to cancel the loan.Despite paying the withdrawal fee and receiving written confirmation that Pathrise would repurchase the loan, the loan remains active in my account. I am requesting a formal investigation and resolution to ensure the loan is canceled as promised under the agreement.Initial Complaint

I enrolled in their job search program that has a guarantee where if they dont help you find a job you dont pay. Took out a loan for the program and didnt get placed, but they havent paid off my loan. REMOVEDsubmitted all of my documents that they requested, tax returns for verification that I havent had a qualifying job offer but my loan has now accrued 10 thousand dollars of interest and been moved to another company/bank so they dont have to deal with it. After submitting my 2025 tax return and everything they requested, they told me they still need more documents from me but its been 2 weeks and they havent told me what they need and theyve been ignoring my emails. So now I have a 30 thousand dollar loan that I cant pay and shouldnt even have to pay thats accruing even more interest. Ive went through their refund process for the loan but now Im being ignored I just want the loan to be paid as agreed.Initial Complaint

I enrolled in Pathrise in Febuary 2023 under their job-guarantee agreement, which states that if I do not secure a qualifying job within the contract period, my payment obligation is waived. My contract ended in Febuary 2024, and I did not receive a job placement through Pathrise.Despite this, Pathrises financing partner Edly has contacted me about a past due balance. This is improper and violates the terms of the Pathrise guarantee. I completed the program and did not secure a job within the contract window, which means I should owe nothing.I request that Pathrise:Confirm in writing that my payment obligation is fully waived under the job-guarantee terms.Notify Edly to immediately cease all collection activity.Update my account to reflect a $0 balance.I am filing this complaint because Pathrise has not honored the terms of their own agreement, and I am now being contacted for a debt I do not owe.Initial Complaint

I signed up with REMOVEDon March 2024. They promised that if I dont get job through them within one year I dont have to lay anything. They signed me up with their third party lender Edly. After one year I didnt get a jib I told Pathrise that I didnt get a job please take me out of your course. They asked me my tax return and all to make sure I didnt get the job. I submitted everything and I got written confirmation from that saying that I dont and wont owe anything now. I dont have to pay anything to Edly. Now all of sudden I got email from Edly that my amount is Past due. I reached out to Pathrise and they said that their business is foreclosure they cannot do anything. I reached out to Edly and they said if Pathrise dont pay then I have to Pay. I didnt get anything and have written confirmation that I dont have to pay then why will I pay. I still didnt get any job and the loan amount huge.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a program that was supposed to help me find a job. If I was not placed in 12 months, then I did not need to pay anything for the service. I was not placed, and I was told owed nothing. However, several months later, I was told that the company (Pathrise) went bankrupt and they did not have the ability to cancel my loan with the financial institution. I have not paid anything. But now the financial institution (Edly) is trying to collect money from me, even though my contract said I should not owe any money. Im not looking for any money. I just want this loan to go away, like my agreement said.Initial Complaint

I joined the Pathrise career program in May 2024 and used an REMOVEDloan through Edly to pay for it. One of the major reasons I felt comfortable enrolling was because their written agreement includes a Placement Guarantee. It says that if Pathrise does not help me secure a new qualifying job before my contract ends, then I dont owe anything. I never received a new job through Pathrise or at all.Once my contract ended, I tried to confirm the next steps with Pathrise, but the information they gave was confusing and contradictory. I was told several different things about the status of my loan, including that it was already in defermentwhich turned out not to be true, since I continued to receive payment requests from Edly. Pathrise also told me that they wouldnt be able to confirm my non-placement until they reviewed my 2026 tax return, even though that requirement does not appear in the contract I signed.Recently I contacted Edly and learned that Pathrise is not able to issue refunds or cancellations, and those responsibilities have been handed over to their creditors. None of this was ever shared with me beforehand, despite months of communication asking Pathrise to finalize the cancellation they promised me. Because of this lack of transparency, interest has been accumulating on a loan that should not exist under the terms of my agreement. This situation has created ongoing financial stress for me and my household, especially because I was operating under the assumptionbased on Pathrises own written assurancesthat I would not be held responsible for repayment. What I am asking for is straightforward:Pathrise should acknowledge that I do not owe repayment under the Placement Guarantee. They should cooperate with Edly so the loan can be corrected.I would also like confirmation that the loan will be closed/canceled.I can provide copies of my contract, emails from Pathrise, and communication from Edly that verifies the situation.Initial Complaint

Business: Pathrise Secondary Party: Edly Lending Date of Transaction: 12/14/23 Amount Paid/Financed: $19,452.69 I am filing a complaint against Pathrise for misrepresentation and failure to honor a promised refund, as well as against Edly for not enforcing their own refund procedures. I enrolled in Pathrise on the date listed above and financed tuition through Edly, who disbursed the funds directly to Pathrise. At enrollment, Pathrise stated that I would be eligible for a refund under specific conditions. I met those conditions, and this refund promise was a major factor in my decision to sign the contract and accept the loan.Edly has confirmed in writing that any refund owed to a student must be issued by Pathrise back to Edly, who then credits the borrowers account. Edly also acknowledged that Pathrise has promised refunds to some students but has failed to return the money. Despite meeting all requirements, Pathrise has not refunded the tuition, leaving me responsible for a loan balance I should not owe.I have repeatedly attempted to resolve this directly with both Pathrise and Edly. Pathrise has not provided a valid reason for refusing to issue the refund, and Edly has not been able to obtain compliance from them. After multiple communications with both parties, no meaningful action has been taken to correct the issue.Requested Resolution:Immediate refund from Pathrise to Edly for the full financed amount.Immediate correction or cancellation of my Edly loan balance once funds are returned.Written confirmation from both parties when completed.I have supporting documentation available, including the Pathrise agreement, their refund promises, emails, Edlys written policy on refunds, and proof of the loan disbursement.Initial Complaint

Company did not disclose the 20%+ increase rates occurring with the payment plan/isa in the contract. I have been paying 775 a month to pay off a REMOVEDloan for almost a year, only to see I still owe REMOVEDwith about 22 remaining payments. This means I would be paying nearly double the amount of money to pay off a debt. I also found their practices very manipulative as they used my at the time recent job loss and the health crisis of a love one to push me into joining their program. I couldn't find anything regarding the isa document anywhere on both pathrise and edly, even in my emails I can't find anything.Initial Complaint

In March 2024 I enrolled with Pathrise. I withdrew from the program in June 2024 and agreed to a repayment plan. The repayment was completed in January 2025, and I received confirmation from Pathrise in April that the debt had been discharged.Pathrise told me that they were modifying their relationship with loan provider Edly, and that Edly would process the repayment by July 15, However, Edly has no record of the discharge, and Pathrise is unresponsive to my emails.Having spoken to Edly today (July 17) they confirmed that the debt has not been discharged, that Pathrise should not have sent the discharge letter, and that that debt was still outstanding.Initial Complaint

I took out a $12,000 just to have my resume reviewed and edited. I feel like I was taken advantage of and I regret using this service and also not going onto BBB before hand to see that Pathrise is rated with an "F". I spent maybe 1-2 months using Pathrise before taking a break to pursue my PMP certification (which was my sole decision and Pathrise had 0 influence on this). I acquired my PMP then continued to look for a job. In Pathrise's training, it was recommended to not use LinkedIn's "Quick Apply" feature but I decided to use it for this particular job which is the one that I was able to get. I was told by my employer that I was hired due to my certification. So Pathrise misled me in that aspect. I sincerely only had my resume tweaked, a few meetings with my "mentor" and access to some email software. Now I'm stuck with a $12,000 loan that really puts me into major financial distress. When I emailed Pathrise with my concern to possibly seek some sort of agreement to reduce the loan, I only was able to communicate with them via email and had 0 opportunity to speak with someone on the phone. They reviewed my case and used the excuse that I took too long to bring this issue up. I explained that I live in a high cost city and had realized that I cannot afford to spend the high monthly payments on the loan for the services that I received, but received no solution from them. I feel like I was ignored and that my well-being was not considered. I would really like for them to reconsider my case to at least reduce my loan as I have now acquired a heft medical bill that will put me in the red.
