I enrolled in your coaching program, expecting meaningful support for my career. However, after a month of coaching, I found the experience to be far from what was promised. The first two months only involved assistance with writing my resume. After that, I was asked to apply to 25 jobs per week, and that was the extent of the coaching. I enrolled in your coaching program with the understanding that I would receive support in landing a job. However, after a month of coaching, the service I received was minimal. The first two months were spent mainly on resume assistance, and after that, I was only asked to apply to 25 jobs per week. I have not landed a job, and now, I am being told I owe $143, which feels disproportionate to the service Ive received. Furthermore, I noticed that emails were signed with my name but not my actual signature. I do not recall agreeing to any payment terms, especially given that I was not informed about a 14-day trial period beforehand. Additionally, I was under the impression that if I did not land a job, I would not owe anything. Now, I am being told that if I leave the program without a job, I will owe $250 per week, a condition I did not see in the agreements fine print. I will be adding a PDF to my BBB complaint, which includes a similar complaint from another individual who faced the same issues with the program. I would appreciate it if we could resolve this issue fairly. I look forward to hearing from you soon. I would appreciate it if we could review my account and discuss how to resolve this matter fairly. (my name Is Saadiq ******* My email address on the account is ********************************

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Pathrise, a career development company with which I entered into a contract in October 2023. The agreement was designed to support my job search and stipulated that Pathrise would assume responsibility for a $15,000 loan I secured through Climb if I were not placed in a qualifying job within one year of the program start date.Despite fulfilling my obligations under the contract, Pathrise is now requesting that I extend the contract period instead of honoring the original terms and assuming the loan. This request contradicts the explicit conditions set forth in the agreement and has created significant financial distress for **** have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter with Pathrise directly via email, but I have not received a satisfactory resolution. Their lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to adhere to the agreed-upon terms has left me with no choice but to escalate this issue.I respectfully request your assistance in addressing the following concerns:Ensuring Pathrise complies with the original contract terms and assumes the loan as agreed.Investigating any unfair or deceptive practices in Pathrise's handling of this matter.Advocating for a prompt resolution to prevent further financial harm.Attached to this letter, I am including a copy of the contract, email correspondence, and any additional relevant documentation for your review.I trust that the ********************* can help facilitate a fair outcome and hold Pathrise accountable for their contractual obligations. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to your guidance on the next steps.

Pathrise is attempting to collect nearly $6,000 from me for a service they did not provide. I was given a free trial period of their service and like the program and agreed to a profit share payment plan that would go into effect after securing a high paying job through Pathrise. As soon as the trial period ended I was placed with new team members and did not receive any benefits from the program from that point on. It was not at all what I had experienced during the trial period. I was bounced around to new employees constantly over the 2-3 month period I was enrolled. All of the 'help' I received from the program was advice to "revamp my resume" and "update linked in" but no help with doing any of those things. I was told by their contracted experts that they weren't going to be able to help me because of the job market and that I was being lied to about the guarantees of the program. I was without a steady job for 2 years after I left the program. I am currently working a job that I did not secure through any help from Pathrise, in a field unrelated to the one I was seeking help with, making significantly less money than I made at the last job I had before entering the Pathrise program. The entire thing feels like a scam and when I continually expressed my frustration to those running the program I did not receive any change in the support or service or any attempts to remedy the situation. I do not feel like I received any service worth any amount of money and certainly not $6,000.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to file a formal complaint against Pathrise for their lack of service and unreasonable financial demands.I joined Pathrise with the expectation that their services would significantly aid my job search and career advancement. Despite being part of their program for over two - three months, I have not seen any meaningful results. The job I currently hold, which is a contract role ending June 30th, 2024, was secured without any assistance from Pathrise. This makes me question the value of the services they claim to provide.Pathrise has charged me $10,000 for their services, of which I have already paid $3,755. This amount is exorbitant, especially considering the lack of tangible benefits I have received from their program. I reached out to Pathrise on April 30, 2024, to discuss my concerns and requested a review of my payment terms due to my financial situation and the limited impact of their services. However, I have not received any response from them to date.Given these circumstances, I believe Pathrise's practices are unfair and deceptive. They have failed to deliver on their promises and have not been responsive to my attempts to address these issues. I am seeking the BBB's assistance in resolving this matter and holding Pathrise accountable for their lack of service and unreasonable charges.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your support in resolving this issue.

Initially, I engaged with Pathrise to avail of their services, seeking career guidance and applied for a loan through Edly. Recently, I decided to discontinue my engagement with Pathrise, duly cancelling and settling any outstanding payments. Pathrise assured me that my loan with Edly would be waived. However, despite providing email correspondence confirming the cancellation with Pathrise, the loan remains active. This discrepancy is concerning, and I am seeking resolution to ensure the accuracy of my financial obligations.

I worked with mentors through Pathrise from to 4/22/2022 to 8/3/2022. I was told when I was onboarded that the cost of my participation would equate to around $250/week. For a total of 14 weeks, this would normally come out to $3,500. Instead, through Pathrise's ISA ********** this ends up amounting to a whopping $18,000. Additionally, Pathrise will take credit for securing your job on your behalf, even when you source the job yourself. The salary that I ended up with was actually less than I was getting paid previously (a $20k pay cut). Once you've signed your **** Pathrise is incredibly dodgy about the exact amount you need to pay, and for how many terms. They outsource billing to a 3rd party (****), and because you're trapped between these two companies, no one is communicating to help you. According to my contract uploaded into ****, my ***** (whatever that means) amount owed is $18k for a total of 24 months. However, **** has chosen to bill me for a total of $24k! When I've contacted either company, no one has offered to help me or to do anything. I've consulted my lawyer, who has confirmed that $18k is the appropriate amount. For 14 weeks of service for a job that I suourced myself and a lower salary than I was being paid previously, it's awful. This company is a scam, and is employing an excessively complicated cost structure to steal money out of your pocket. I don't know what else to do aside from file a complaint and potentially even ****

On March 10th I applied to be a part of Pathrise and on the 24th I had my interview and was accepted into the program on March 27th where my trial started. My two-week trial ended/was canceled on April 13th and I liked what the program offered so I decided to stay, my new contract was sent to me including their Income-Sharing Contract which started on April 13th. I was told multiple times including by my Mentor, if the program was not for me I wouldn't owe anymore, the premise is to pay a percentage of your salary to Pathrise 28 days after you are hired. After being with the program fully, I decided this was no longer for me; I never received any job interviews including from their sourced roles and I felt I was doing a better job on my own than with a company that helps you but has zero connections as they claim. On May 5th I sent an email to my mentor and onboarding specialist that I wanted to leave Pathrise but thanked them as well. Today May 9th I reccied my withdrawal request, at the top of the form it states "There is a $250 week enrolled fee for withdrawing" which to me is bizarre considering I was told I wouldn't have to pay. I like to include that even when I get another job due to the Income Share, I would have to pay their financial company 18% of the money that I would earn without ********'s help which is completely unfair. I also am aware there has been a lawsuit against **** with Elevate which is similar to Pathrise.

The whole business model is a scam. I worked with them through the program and got a job. Yeah. Had nothing to do with them. However, the job only lasted 6 months and my contract was sold. Now, I owe ****, the income share company, $12,000. I only made 30k. I went off on my own and got a new contract and am being forced to pay monthly more than I take in after bills. They claim to be an educational/tuition based platform. It is a huge ripoff and hustle. No one who works there was qualified in my field and was no help. Had I have known that not one counselor was knowledgeable about the industry I work in, and have fr over 20 years, I would have never moved forward. They neglected to mention that fact until after the trial period was over and I was trapped. There was no way they could have guided me, even if they wanted to. They knew my industry and lied about the ability to provide insights or guidance as to landing a job. I was desperate as I was out of work for two years. They took advantage, lied and acted in an unprofessional manner. I by no means should have to pay $12,000 for the resume rewrite for a job that lasted 6 months. They meant well, but were unqualified and useless. I have paid $3000 thus far. I think that the very limited help I was given was maybe worth $3000, but certainly NOT $12,000. Please investigate. I will not continue to pay as it makes it so I can't pay my utilities and food. I was deceived and scammed. They should be shut down immediately! They are all frauds with no credentials in my field and lied knowing that. Promised they had counselors to guide me and they DID NOT! Seriously....no credentials, advanced degrees or serious influences as they promised!

    Hello,

I've reached out to the customer directly and offered to meet their terms of canceling the legally binding contract they signed with us (see attachment).

I find it important to additionally note that this customer never attempted to get in touch with anyone at my company or our financing partner's company (that I'm aware of) to discuss their concerns - and the understanding they have of their contract is patently false. Our Income Share Agreement operates to protect our customers when they're not earning income (or when they're earning below our articulated minimum) - and since this customer's job ended after 6 months, they are not obligated to pay unless / until they are employed again and making that minimum threshold. Additionally, the amount referenced ($12k) is a maximum payment amount, to protect high income earners from paying an exorbitant amount if they making monthly payments based on their salary for the entirety of the stated payment term (24 months) - and stipulating rather, that when they hit that cap, their repayment is satisfied!

All in all, this is, again, a conversation we would have been happy to have if this customer would have reached out to us. Please let me know what other info you need from me and what the next steps are for getting the complaint resolved!
