  OnDecember 31, 2024, BBB Serving LosAngeles and Silicon Valley requested that the business substantiate, modify, ordiscontinue claims on the company's website, https://www.gcgroupstyle.com/. In particular,the business advertises “Save up to 70% in all departments.”

   
  The BBB Code of Advertising states that, “1.1 The primary responsibilityfor truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser.Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offersmade before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present suchsubstantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.”

  
  The BBB Code of Advertising also states that, “11.1 Where a savingsclaim (for example, “save up to 40%”) covers a group of items with a range ofsavings, the number of items available at the maximum savings must comprise asignificant percentage, at a minimum 10%, of all the items in the offering,unless local, state or provincial law requires otherwise. 11.2 To avoid confusion or any possible deception, an advertiser shouldconsider including a disclosure of both the minimum and maximum savingsavailable under the offer. In such an instance, the advertiser must avoid anyundue or misleading display of the maximum.”
