I contacted this business to rebuild the engine of my 1973 Mustang. He said it will take about 2 months and suggested I take the car to Slo-Pro to have the engine removed and sent to him. Slo-Pro cheated me out of money I already filed another complaint against them. The work was not done in 2months and he kept making excuses about parts so I purchased all needed parts and gave it to him. He had given me a bill for the work that included the cost of parts and said he will have to adjust it later. When I went to pay him and recover the engine I found out that he had charged an extra $1000 that was not in the original bill. WHen I asked him about it he said that the mechanic who is supposed to put the engine back in the car had asked him to "complete the engine" and that he charges $1000 for that. I asked about an explanation for that term but he gave me none. I told him that I am not supposed to pay for something I did not ask for or even approve, he said he would not give me the engine back unless I paid the full bill. I also found out that he had charged for polishing the old crankshaft although I had bought a new one and he did not have to deal with the old one at all. I tried to call the mechanic to inquire about what did he ask him to do to the engine but I was not able to get hold of him. I decided to just pay him so I can get the engine back, I also did not want to leave it there in case he decided to retaliate by damaging it, and then deal with recovering this money later.
