    On September 24,2024 met with engineer Robert Adames of Adames Design group. We were in need of a structural engineer for adding an addition on to a mobilehome. He looked at the property and agreed to do the engineering work. He mentioned that he needed a deposit of $ 900.00 He left abruptly and he would not respond to my texts, phone, or e-mail. I thought he was ill or had an accident. On Oct 2, 2024 I made contact and sent him a $900 check to get started.. More weeks passed. On October 29,2024 I was able to reach him and he said he would start the engineering. More time passed and finally after speaking with him he said he was really busy. With no commitment, lack of communication or effort shown, On Nov. 25 ,2024 I sent an e-mail and a certified letter stating that our agreement was over and that he needed to return my deposit within 21 days. my goal is for him to return my deposit and avoid suing him in small claims court.
