      RE: Previous BBB complaint #******** from 8/1/2023 against Dynadot,LLC ******************************************* Please add this archived complaint to this one. - Date of Transaction: 5/2/2019 - *** paid: $59.99 (Life-time membership)- What the business commited to provide: Life-time license Key and usage of Savegame Wizard for PS4 ************* was moved to "expired" status last year 8/1/2023. Filed BBB complaint #********. Company removed expiration from license. Now, 1 year later company has revoked license and app no longer works. Again. This is terrible business practices. - Has the business tried to resolve the matter?: They re not trust worthy apparently. Every year I should not have to file a complaint when I have paid for a life-time membership. - Save game wizard for PS4 *** previously advertised they would provide buyers with life-time useage and license keys for the Savegame wizard for PS4 MAX **** They have now moved to a subscription model for new users. Now, it seems, theya re attetpting to go back on a a previous agreement with buyers who funded the company in the beginning.

      Dynadot directly supports and allowes cyber squatters to extort and resell domains at exorbitant prices. Lookup JURGEN NEEM and his company super privacy service **** Both dynadot and super privacy service *** also known as ***********************, are both locationless entities based put of *********, **********. HOW INTERERESTING that the company (super privacy service ***) whom is a SERIAL domain squatter, shares near identical location of the company Dynadot. Avoid Dynadot and *********************** at all costs. They use data collection/key loggers/ domain searches to target business owners and buy their domains (sometimes days after they are searched for) to resell at ***** percent markup.I will be privately pursuing the matter and creating a full documentary on all of my findings linking *********************** to Dynadot.Don't even click on their website.       I'm not sure to what domain you are referring, but filing for a trademark does not guarantee your ability to register a matching domain. Available domains are registered on a first come, first served basis. Dynadot respects the intellectual property rights of others, and is committed to protecting such rights where they exist. However, we cannot lawfully "play judge". If you believe your copyright or trademark is being violated, you should look into the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy:

      While your boilerplate answer *** absolve you of legal recourse, my trademark was published through the ***** website on April 3rd. The respective dotcom was purchased by a third party on April 4th, residing at *************************************************************. How was my information made available to random domain squatters in Tempe by the names of **** and **********************? Why does my purchase of the trademark precede their purchase of the domain name?

      We could not say how the registered name holder of the domain in question came to be aware of your filing, if indeed they were. You did say it was published, so that implies a publicly accessible database. However it happened, Dynadot was not involved in any way other than accepting a registration order.

      I've been contacting Dynadot because one of their domain registrants are posting spam and stolen content on their site. They told me they can not proceed without a court order which is bogus. They can not do this to me. They need to take my content down. Posting my content on their **** site is defamation of character and copyright infringement.

      I am sorry to hear you are not having any luck with your copyright claim. Unfortunately, Dynadot is not the correct point of contact for your request as we do not provide hosting services for the website and do not have the technical ability to remove or disable specific items of objectionable content. In such case, we suggest that you contact the website or the party hosting the website to have this matter properly resolved. You can find  out who the web host is by pinging the domain name and finding out who controls that IP address. They should be help you with any content issues.

      dynadot is a fraudulent/spying domain registrar. customers can't sign into accounts because of constant "maintenance". they also keep adding bizarre sign in requirements like asking for ssn's and phone numbers. dynadot is registered in ******! imagine that commie **! maybe *************** and the chinese run dynadot?now i have to transfer away my domains to a respectable domain service.

      Hello Tt ***,

      I was inclined not t respond to your complaint due to the ridiculous allegations and racist comments. Dynadot never asks anyone for their SSN. We ask you to create a Security PIN (4 digits) and a Secret Question and Answer combo that can be used to verify ownership and/or unlock your account. Yes, your phone number is requested as part of your account information and we sometimes need to complete routine maintenance. You will find that any any domain registrar. I have no idea why you think we would owe you $500. Your lifetime spending with us is only $58.94 and those orders were fulfilled.

      I do agree with you on one point, however, you should find a new registrar. Youll find we are no longer accepting orders from your account.

      thanks for responding. dynadot is a rip-off company and just read the "complaints team" response, it says it all. i know web devs who had domain names stolen by this fraud company. i'm forwarding this to icann and w3c regarding dynadot fraud. it is a fact that *************** said he "loves" the chinese (real news look it up).

      the response from them is not acceptable. i cannot sign in to my account to transfer my domains away, a violation of icann policies. again, thanks to the bbb for reporting this.

      On July 7th 2023 I purchaced the domains dylansteele.org dylansteeletech.com and pctep.com. On September 13th 2023 I notified Dynadot LLC that I lost acess to the email ************************* and needed it to be updated to my new email ****************************** ******************* refused my request to gain acess to the account i paied for despite clearly explaining I am the rightful owner of my account ***************. I sent a cease and desist letter informing that this company is breaking the law by stealing my account and domains. I added my address to futher clarify its my account this has been well documintated ***** in the ***** records and in my account billing records. After more bullying and blackmail I gave in and provided a selfie and photo of my passport. ***** than demanded I join a zoom meeting I told him I felt uncomfortable with this but he insisted in this. You have stolen $32 out of my social welfare and have added to my already declining mental help and sucidal thoughts. Hope your happy see you in court

      I would like to start by saying that Dynadot means you no harm. We have not, however, stolen your domains. There are no holds or locks on the account holding the domains you mentioned. If you had the correct username and password, you could access the account freely.  According to your emails, you have lost the login data as well as access to the email address on file. You submitted a request to have the email address used for the account changed to an Outlook address. As the email address can be used to retrieve the username and reset the password, we must first verify that you are the account-holder before making such a change. We have a process for this, that is not an easy one, I admit, but social engineering attacks have gotten very sophisticated. An ID and statement from a requestor is simply not enough to keep accounts secure. We have received fakes that look like the real thing, and even stolen passports in the past. We need to protect our customers from theft, and have developed a process that does just that. It is applied to anyone making a request to have the contact information of an account changed. The Zoom call is 5 minutes or less. I do not feel we are asking too much. 


      Additionally, our Service Agreement states that you must keep your account information accurate and up-to-date at all times. Keeping a non-working email address on file can lead to situations like this one. Until you complete our verification process, we cannot consider you to be the rightful owner of the account in question. I am not sure why you have such strong objections to a quick verification call, but we are still happy to schedule one with you to get this situation resolved.

      I verfied with my passport you than demand i make a zoom call all of which im unable to do my lapotp broke I cant use zoom on my brother's phone. 

      I did no need to do this when I paied for my domains.

      Please refund me and give me my auth codes.

      You were told to stop engauging in blackmail. You were issued a Cease and Desist letter informing you were to stop engaing in these illigle activities

      I know that people online think abusing and slandering autistic people is ok however the law says otherwise.

      I have sent a demand letter as one last chance to resolve this dispute privatly without the need for a court case you refused.

      You have fabricated facts ***** in review responces to attempt to rewrite history and pretend i didnt buy the domains even though its clearly written in my bank statment I purchaced the domains and my name and address is clearly stated in the whois and my account.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Its been well documintated I'm the account owner I proceeded with Dynadot's "ID verification" but now I'm being told its not good enough? 

      I will only accept a refund and access to my domain **** codes as you have not fulfilled the two year subscription I was promised during checkout. 

      If you don't believe me than mabey you will take this more seriously when a lawyer and law enforcement explain why what you did is against the law. 

      You ignored my demand letter you have ignored all the chances I gave you to stop engaging in blackmail. 

      Once again please give me my domains back. I was trying to be a good person by giving my brother with psychosis hope by making him a website for free. 

      All I wanted to do was make a personal CV website to help me stand out in job interviews and give my brother with psychosis hope by designing him his personal website for his teaching career dream. 

      II hope you consider reavaluating this case otherwise legal action will be the only option sadly.

      I won an auction for the first time. since it was my first time using dynadot I had to make a 5$ deposit to even be able to bid on the auction. When the auction was over I funded the remaining due to my account to pay for the domain won. Thats when problems started. They took the payment, said in chat they have my money but havent credited my account yet. They want me to do a kyc verification. I have tried every way I can but it wont submit, it just greys out the button and does nothing. The period to pay for the domain I got ends in 5 hours and my money is still stuck with them. Chat just told me to send an email which their website says its 24/7 but no one is replying. Chat is now offline (they site says chat is also 24/7). Im at risk of losing my domain and being unable to bid on future auctions through them becasue their code has bugs even though they have my money.

      If I had waited for the business to reply I would've lost my domain and my money since they don't do refunds on account fill up orders. Instead I drove over an hour to get fiber Internet to be able to complete their identity verification. Even over fiber it took over 15min for the page to fully load and accept the verification. I will not be using their services in the future.

      While I am very sorry to hear how dissatisfied the complainant was with their experience, asking for verification is something we need to do as an online company. As I understand it, the customer was able to complete the requested verification and is now in possession of the domain. I am not sure how I can help at this point. We typically only request payment verification once per account, so as long as there are no red flags, this should not happen again.

       

      Additionally, there seems to be a misunderstanding about our chat support hours, which are not listed as 24/7, though we are quite close to that now.

      I have a been using Dynadot for over 4 years.Their customer support has been dwindling to almost nothing.Phone support no longer exists anymore with this company I cannot log into my account and access my own domains because of their technical glitches, and email support demands I show further identification.I am concerned for my own safety and potential identity theft due to their lack of consistent standards.I need my service to work properly, as much time has been wasted on this.A consistent set of standards needs to be in place, and more customer friendly service.
