“The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below.”
On 11/03/2023, TFC Credit Corporation of California dba TFC Tuition, signed a consent order brought against the company by the State of Minnesota Department of Commerce.
According to the order, it was alleged that TFC Tuition engaged in unlicensed student loans servicing, which is in violation of Minn. Stat. § 58B.03 subd. 1(2022).
TFC Tuition will pay a civil penalty in the amount of $10,000 and $120 investigative fee. TFC Tuition has agreed to cease and desist from violating any laws, rules, or orders.
