I have been an account now banking account for a few years and deposited money to my account the day they closed the bank down October 2022 without any knowledge of the closing at all. They told me I could obtain a new bank card since mine was expired and then pull my funds out at an ATM. I had to verify my identity before I could receive a new debit card however. I followed instructions for every possible way to send my documents to verify myself and not 1 single attempt was successful according to customer service. I called numerous times trying to deal with the issue until finally there was no way to connect to anyone at the bank. I have continuously looked into any way possible to contact someone to no avail to date. I attempted to locate the money through the missing money government sites as well finding nothing owed in my name. I need my money and never received a check either since the address on file is an old address and could not be updated until my identity was verified. I think this entire ordeal is a scam to keep my money. Please help me obtain what's mine.Initial Complaint

I received a check in the mail at the address shown above in which my address is actually different that stated AccountNow Closure. For the amount of $841.80 in which I did not know anything about until recently located by my family that actually lives at the address. Ive called green dot, irs due to its sending my stimulus check to green dot card for $1200.00 in which I never received but later received a closure check for $841 Im getting the run around about reissuing a check to me for $841.80 due to the fact it has not been cash because its only good for 90 days. When calling green dot and account now they are both stating they cant locate the account when I have the check number and check in front of me I will report fraud due to the fact that my first stimulus was a check and I never received a card from account now or green dot and the $841 check is ********* $300. I need assistance reissuing my check ASAP. I will report GREEN DOT TO THE *** IF THIS ISSUE IS NOT HANDLED BECAUSE I WAS NOT NOTIFIED ABOUT ACCOUNT OR CLOSURE. I have identity fraud on my social so NO ONE should be able to just get a card or account in my name without proper security measures in place.Initial Complaint

I have been dealing with this for years with account now. It is now owned by banc corp. It is a bank that it is affiliated with Paypal, Chime, etc. In, 2009 or 2010 It has been so long that I have been thru homeless times. On October 21, 2022 I attempted to use my debit card to make a purchase. It was declined. Upon contacting Account Now, I was notified that Account Now had closed. They said that they would send me the money that was on this account.After many, many phone calls I finally received a check for the full amount that was owed to me which was $3175.67 and the check was dated 01/11/23. I attempted to cash the check and was not able to. I was told to call the number on the front of the check and they clould tell me why I couldn't cash the check.I spoke to many people, each one giving me a different answer and telling me to try to cash it again. I attempted to cash this check 6 times and nothing. I have jumped through all the hoops that I'm going to jump through. It's obvious that they believe that they owe me the money or they wouldn't have issued the check to begin with. Any help or advice in this matter would greatly be appreciated. I am *******************************, a former cardholder of AccountNow debit card. As of 3/22 card # **************** had not been used. My account was locked because I lost my card. It took forever for them to unlock my card after many attempts to follow their security protocols. When they unlocked the account I was told I would receive another card in the mail. Two months, the card never came. I had to move to another state. I called customer service to ***** address and was asked if I had received my new card. I replied no, they locked my account again! They told me the card was sent to the wrong address (Not the address on file). Long story short. I left the account because they wouldn't let me close it. Soon after, AccountNow shut down. I am disabled and on ********* They're telling me that the bank account associated with the card # *********** is still active. They require information on the account or they're kicking me off. How is it my account is active when AccountNow is shutdown? I have not accessed it since 3/22 and cannot today. AccountNow has no tele # or contact email. I need an email from them giving full details why the account is still active and why can't I access it. I also want up to date statements from last I used the account to present month. ******************* (120571/9688)
