I specifically asked what the total cost of the services provided would be before committing to paying any fees however I was told that I needed to pay $495 right up front to gather my documents which I know is something that can be requested for free from the **** However I was ******* CLEAR that the cost of the service was of the UTMOST importance to me and I needed them to be transparent with me. However my worst fears came true and I basically paid out the $495 that I did not have just to confirm my suspicions, I could not afford the cost of their services. I would much rather be work directly with the *** myself to address what I owe in back taxes rather than pay Ideal Tax fees of over $10,000. Which is why I stated to them that the cost of their services was the most important deciding factor and I feel that the rep I worked with was deliberately evasive. All of the costs should be stated up front. I would like to request a refund because I will not be working with them.Business response

Please note that we take all complaints very seriously and we do our best to turn them around when possible. We've reviewed the calls and the notes from your case and we see that you were told by the Tax Associate that there was a fee to conduct the tax investigation, which you agreed and decided to move forward with. During the onboarding process, you were also told by the Tax Associate that, once we got the tax investigation results, there was going to be additional service fees,which we couldn't tell you those fees at the time because those fees are based on the findings of the investigation and complexity of the case. With that said, we feel we were very transparent with you and you signed a contract agreeing to all of this. Approximately 2 months ago I was garnished by the **** I contacted and paid $ 400 + to ************ to find out why this was being done. Was told that through their investigation I owed the *** $36000 I needed to pay an additional $9000 to Ideal to stop the garnishment or *** would garnish my bank account. I signed a contract via and sent $2000. I was told by my tax accountant that I owed no such money and go to *** office and ask what was going on. Talk to them they said I owed less than $6000 I contacted Ideal and canceled the contract verbally and in writing within 24 hours. Two months later I was told that their investigation shows I owe $26000 . First $36000 and now $26000. They stonewalled me two months about returning any of my $2000 even though they did nothing to help me but go to two different amounts. Do not use them and their fear techniquesBusiness response

************ contacted me and said that they were not looking at coming to any agreement. He would continue to try but was doubtful. This company (sic) gave me two completely amounts of money that they researched that was a $10000 difference from their own investigations. Where as the *** stated all I owned was 1/7 of the amount they had researched. Scare tactics???? I canceled within 24 hours and their amounts dont even match.help me.Business response

********************, We have been trying to get a hold of you, but have not been able to. We would love to speak with you and hopefully come up with a solution. According to transcripts that we received from the **** you still have a liability and we would like to have the opportunity to help you solve it. Also, we would like to point out that you signed a contract that clearly stated that you could cancel this agreement without any obligation within two (2) calendar days from the date of execution of the Agreement. However, our records indicate that you did not cancel within that time frame. We would like to speak with you, please return our call. Thanks!
