    Initial complaint is with M****** ******* at Coastal Hideaways and owner ****** ***** at property located at *** ********* Santa Barbara, CA rented through VRBO. Melissa debited my credit card $150 without my authorization. Melissa and H***** claimed the $150 charge was for carpet cleaning two (8 x 10) old and filthy throw rugs. They entered the unit I rented without my knowledge and took a photograph of a cat scratching post and claimed that it was proof of pet urine stain from my cat. There were no pet stains left by my cat. Upon my arrive at the VRBO unit it smelled dog odor from a pet Hiroko previously owned. I am in the process of disputing this unauthorized fraudulent charge $150 with my bank, First Commercial Bank. Second complaint: misleading representation of the unit I rented with VRBO managed by Melissa Pierson at Coastal Hideways for the owner H***** *****. Misleading property description of *** ********* **. Santa Barbara CA on VRBO include: Misleading Property discrimination: The VRBO listing states the unit is 600sq ft unit. However, the unit is only 300sq ft at most. Misleading Prop description: the rental is very private & completely removed from the main house when in fact, the unit is part of the main house, separated only by a piece of ply-wood attached to the wall leading upstairs to the main house. Misleading Property description: The unit contains a living room and kitchen. There is no kitchen, only a microwave, refrigerator and small sink. Nothing to cook with except on an electrical hot plate. Misleading Property description: the unit has heating. There is no central heating or wall-mount heating only 2 plug-in heating disks. Misleading Property description: unit has a washer and dryer. There is no washer or dryer in the unit. As a guest you must use a washer and dryer that is located inside the garage of the owner, H***** *****’s house and must be shared by the owner and another tenant living in the house.
