I had joined Headspace in 2018 at the current subscription rate of $95/year. Their public rates (no special discounts) went down to $69.99/year in 2020, and I didnt know until I went to cancel in 2024. I never received any notice but I was continuing to be charged at the higher rate. When I reached out to them about this issue, they refused to refund the difference. It was the worst customer service and completely deceptive and discriminatory to those who had been with the company for years.

This is by the far worst place I've ever gone for mental health services. If you actually need professional help or guidance, this place will stress you out, might even encourage self harm. Find help elsewhere! This place is poorly ran, they don't care about the well-being of their customers. For starters, it takes more than ***** for them to respond even if you instantly respond to their message It took over a week to schedule an on boarding appt just for them to cancel it and schedule me without my consent with a different therapist at a time that didn't work for me, within the late cancelation time frame, which means, if I don't show up, they'll charge $******* they have an ai bot which is not helpful. This place is pure trash. I'm honestly shocked they're allowed to be a mental health business when they don't seem to care or help those who desperately need mental help.

Misleading for a mental health appcauses more frustration than relief!I signed up for the free trial of Headspace, thinking it might help with stress and mental well-being. However, I quickly realized the app wasnt for me and planned to cancel before the trial ended. I *forgot* to cancel, and within *hours* of being charged for a full year, I reached out to customer service, explaining my mistake and requesting a refund. They flat-out *refused*, showing zero flexibility or understanding. What makes this even worse is that this is a product meant to improve mental health, yet their rigid refund policy and lack of empathy caused nothing but frustration and stress. Its ironic and disappointing that a mental health app would treat its users so poorly, prioritizing profit over people. For an overpriced service, you'd expect better customer care, but clearly, ********************** doesnt care about supporting its usersjust about locking them into subscriptions. If youre thinking about using this app for peace of mind, beware. Its more likely to cause you stress than help reduce it!

I canceled the subscription, but was still charged $69.99. **************** feigns helpfulness and starts off by saying they're sorry for the inconvenience and will do whatever to help, only to end with saying "sorry we will not refund the subscription but you can still use it for the year!" *** thanks. Thankfully if you subscribed using a credit card you can dispute their subscription charge very easily. So they're more than willing to provide 1 star customer service in the off chance that you're unable to dispute and get that refund anyway... Terrible.

This for their Headspace ************ that used to be Ginger.I have come to expect most business models to lack consumer-based focus and empathy these days, but it is truly saddening that it is coming from a company that is supposed to provide behavioral health services. The perplexing and frankly nonsensical process began as soon as I registered. The form asked for my availability, yet I was assigned a "coach" who wasn't available during those times and a session was set up for a time when she wasn't even working. After I took the time to correct THEIR oversight and got ****** Services to reassign me a Coach, I designated a time to log in to the app during our session only to see no more messages. I'm now being told that I WAS TO BEGIN THE CONVERSATION, not the person whom the service recommended that I meet with and who works for the company providing the service. A coach's primary function is to facilitate and moderate. This is the opposite of that.I got charged for that "session" and all indications were that coaching was included with my plan. The only charges would be for therapy. When I submitted my account cancellation request, I was charged for the upcoming session. Seems a bit unreasonable that I would be charged for not showing up, but their business is fine with not showing up for there's.

Havent used their app in a year. Out of the blue I get a $69.99 charge which they refuse to refund. They dont send you a heads up when theyre about to charge you either. I check for this kind of thing in my settings to stay on top of renewals, but it didnt show up there at all. Had to go in their web site. Very sneaky unethical company!!!

I received a link for a 30-day free trial from a family member. To use the app, I had to provide my credit card. There must have been a default setting for yearly subscriptions because I always choose monthly with new subscriptions. I never found the time to use the app and completely forgot about it. When I noticed the $70 charge for the yearly subscription, I contacted the company to request a refund 7 days after the charge on November 30. I received an automated reply from the company that they were working to respond to requests as quickly as possible. After not hearing from them, I emailed them again on January 17. they finally provided me with a response on January 23 that they do not provide refunds. I requested that they charge me for the monthly fee and refund the balance. They responded they do not provide refunds. I thought this was an appropriate compromise to the issue, but they would not be swayed. This is a terrible way to conduct business and treat people.

I had been using headspace for about 4 months. Unfortunately, the app stopped working on my IPad. I contacted headspace four times over the past week. Each time I received a response stating that someone would reach out to me the following day. I never heard back from anyone. I have lost all confidence in the company and want a refund. The customer service is horrible.

I started the 30 day free trial. I was then charged $90 without warning. I reached out within hours of the charge and politely asked for a refund. Headspace refused to refund me. The worst part is that I am elligible for the student rate of just $13, but they also refused to switch me to the student plan. **************** dismissed my concerns and stopped responding to my emails. Please beware of this business!

A well intentioned family member sent me a link for a free 30 day trial. In order to use the app, I had to provide my credit card, May 1st. There must have been a default setting for yearly subscription because I always choose monthly with new subscriptions. I found the app to be completely useless and had every intention to cancel. I saw the charge on June 1st. Cancelling the subscription is not intuitive on the app but I managed to cancel the same day. The $69 charge did not get refunded. Today, June 5th, I emailed the company and asked for a refund and was told I missed the 30 day window to cancel. I have never encountered a subscription service that was so rigid in providing refunds. If a product is ****, you aren't using it and you ask for a refund, you should get a refund. DO NOT TRY - NOTHING HERE IS FREE. NO REFUNDS.
