If you upgrade to a full membership from a $1.95 2-day trial minutes after purchasing the 2-day trial, you will be double charged for both not cancelling the trial and for the full membership. Was charged $29.80 for not cancelling the 2-day trial even though I upgraded to a full membership minutes later. Days later, I was charged again $29.90.

Epoch is a third party payment facilitator, i.e. we process credit card, debit card, prepaid card and other type of online transactions on behalf of e-commerce merchants and do not own, control, operate nor are in any other way associated with these websites. Our records show that the the consumer purchased 2 different 2-day trial memberships for 2 different websites at the same time on May 19, 2024. So as to protect consumers privacy, we will refer to them as membership A and membership B.Membership A consumer did not cancel within the required 2-day trial period and as such was charged $1.95 for the cost of the trial membership on May 19, 2024 (the day of the purchase) and $29.90 for the monthly charge on May 22, 2024 when the trial membership converted into the monthly membership. All of these charges as well as the fact that the trial will convert into a full monthly membership had been fully disclosed to the consumer on our payment page which consumer used to make this purchase. Enclosed is the screenshot of our payment page that the consumer used to make this purchase.Membership B consumer chose to upgrade to a full monthly membership on the same day of the purchase so as to be able to access full content which isnt available to trial members. As such, consumer was charged $1.00 for the trial membership as well as $29.80 for the monthly membership on May 19, 2024. To upgrade this membership, consumer was required to go through the enclosed membership upgrade page which explicitly stated that the consumer would be charged $29.80 immediately. As such, consumer was well aware of the fact that he will be charged full membership amount immediately upon clicking on YES, UPGRADE ME NOW! and it would be disingenuous to claim otherwise.Enclosed are also records that show all charges for both memberships which clearly show that the consumer was not charged twice for the same membership as claimed in the complaint. Enclosed records also show that even though all charges have been disclosed to the consumer prior to making any purchases, as a one-time courtesy to the consumer we have already issued a refund in an amount of $29.90.

I actually went TO Epoch in ******************. I had been banned from a site while money was still pending. They had my money. The merits of my banning are subjective. What isn't subjective is money was owed to me. I dealt with someone I won't name here. I have his name though. He asked me how I found them. That's what I do. There was a pit bull looking mental defect mad-dogging me as this other ******* entered a conference room to discuss my situation. I guess I was supposed to be scared. I politely demanded my money back. This man asked me to email me him with the evidence of my purchases. I did & never heard from them again. These are gangsters. That's why they operate on the fringes of legitimate business. In my case, I grew up with gangsters. Their pit bull was mildly amusing. (Here boy! Fetch!). Me not getting my money back was aggravating. An insult.

if you have to go through epoch for any subscription i suggest you do not. its not worth the hassle. I have been a customer for 2 years and then i had some time where i no longer used the site anymore. i see the charge for my next billing cycle and reach out to them within 3 days(still had not used the site for months). Despite everything they refuse to refund the subscription amount(even partially) as I will not use this site anyway going forward. They stick to their terms and service before any customer service. Just a bad company to work with to make a buck. Avoid them if you can.

Epoch is a third-party payment processor/facilitator, i.e. we process credit card, debit card, prepaid card and other type of payment transactions on behalf of e-commerce merchants and do not own, control, operate nor are in any other way associated with these websites. Our records show that the consumer purchased a recurring annual membership in December of 2021 and then canceled it on his own (without ever contacting us) in December of 2023. We have no record of any contact having ever been made with us by this consumer in regard to this membership nor for any other reason. Our best guess is that the consumer may have contacted merchants own customer service and merchants own customer service refused to do anything about it. Having now been made aware of this issue, we have forwarded the complaint to the relevant merchant and merchant had issued a refund in an amount of $179.99.In the future, we would advise the consumer to just contact us via phone/live chat and well happily assist him with any issues. Our own customer service is available 24/7.

Do not risk your business or finances with epoch.com. They withhold your funds and refuse to take responsibility, instructing you to wait indefinitely without providing a timeline. Their customer service skills are lacking, as they abruptly end chat sessions when questioned about your own money. They are rude and unapologetically dishonest. It is important to document all interactions with them, as this may be necessary in attempting to recover your funds. Utilize chat and take screenshots of all correspondence. On November 15th, they sent an email stating they would refund approximately 340. After receiving no refund, I emailed on December 8th and again on December 14th without any response. Starting on December 19th, I began using their chat feature, only to be told that the issue is under investigation and to continue waiting, without providing a timeframe. They then abruptly ended the chat session.Who believes they will refund money that they have held for over a month without any explanation or apology?I have documented everything.

Do not use any websites that use Epoch as the ******. They make cancelling a pain in the a** You cannot cancel on the website. You must contact their customer service to cancel. ************* practices.I bought a video, it saw it had a trial attached. Went to website downloaded my video fine. Then I went to cancel my trial, website reads I don't have a trial and need to upgrade to use their website. So I assume it was not a trial and just a video purchase. I forgot to check my paypal for a couple months and end up with 2 months of charges. They purposely hide subscription information and make it hard to find out how to cancel.Turns out they give you a transaction id and you have to use that to then go to EPOCH's website to discover what your subscription is for and to cancel. I find them quite unethical.

We are not sure what the consumer is talking about because when it comes to our won website, details that are readily available clearly show that it was a recurring subscription. As our order confirmation e-mail clearly stated, consumer purchased a 3-day trial membership and then failed to cancel it within the required 3-day trial period. We also do not require anyone to get in touch with us to cancel a subscription as all can be done online via our own website without any assistance from us. There is also no need to use some special transaction ID as our purchase finder allows one to search the records using the e-mail address and card number/Paypal account used to make a purchase. Since this consumer paid with Paypal, subscription could have also been canceled through Paypal without any further assistance from us nor any interactions with our website.Consumer also fails to mention that despite all fo the above, we still issued a full refund to him back on July 16th before we were even notified of this review.

I have charges showing on my debit card statement from Epoch for website subscription buys. 17 lines totalling $1,322.91 during a period from April '22 and the end of '22. Looking up my transaction info on Epoch's consumer portal query only returns three results so I don't know what the other charges are for, nor any details about them. When I contacted Epoch thru email (with the line items pasted directly from my digital statements) and their Chat interface, I was served by "Billing6157" who ultimately (after about 20 minutes of byplay) claimed they COULD NOT list any data for the transactions about which I was concerned. No reason why. When I asked why they could list some of my activity but not all, they crashed the Chat.I've done this sort of research with many other biling services providers (CCBill, ******, ProBiller, ECHST, CentroBill, GFTCharge, FameAdvice, FabulousCash, MVBilling, VendoStore, *******) and Epoch is the only one to flat out refuse to provide my info.

We have contacted the consumer on the same day that we were notified of this review and provided all information about our charges. The consumer thanked us and confirmed that that was all the consumer was looking for..

Would give them no stars if possible. I cancelled a reoccurring transaction last year that popped back up on my paypal.com. I tried obtaining a refund from epoch, who say that I could request a refund, but requesting a refund didn't ensure that I would obtain one, despite it saying refunds may be requested and partial refunds issued. This is slimy and I'm sure violates laws in many countries.Epoch is a .com and an LLC. These should be revoked based on the fraudulent business practices that render it's return policy meaningless.
