Date of Service/Repair:8/30/2023, Vehicle Year:2016, Vehicle ************* Vehicle Model: Forester XT, Vehicle License ************** After drive train failure in late July 2023 the vehicle was diagnosed by the Santa **** ****** dealership service department. After price comparison on repair costs the vehicle was transferred to Santa ******************** during the last week of July. The transmission pump seal and valve body were replaced and the vehicle was delivered on August 30, 2023. On the way home from *********** the vehicle broke down. *********** sent a tech to our home and a disconnected turbo boost hose was identified and refastened. The following day it was clear the transmission was leaking a significant amount of fluid onto the driveway. The vehicle was subsequently returned to *********** and the output seal was replaced and CVT fluid added under their parts and labor warranty in September 2023. After that 3rd correction of their work, we still heard unusual noises coming from the vehicle upon accelerating. On January 14, 2024 the transmission failed again with no power being transferred to the wheels and the car rolling even when in park. Again the vehicle was towed to *********** assuming another parts and labor warranty claim given the vehicle is well within the mileage and time limit warranty terms. After roughly a week and three phone calls with *********** they refused responsibility, told me to *** them, and hung up on me. As the service is still under warranty, *********** is responsible for what will amount to a $11,000 in repairs that renders my vehicle worthless without being done, resulting in a reduction of value of $16,000 to $0. I have all of the service records and videos/photos. Currently, the vehicle is at the ****** dealership in Santa ****.
