Without this customer's consent, ********************** connected a fiber optic cable to a weather head on my roof then down the side on a downspout using zip ties on or about April 17, 2024. We declined to have the fiber service installed in the house due to required undesireable modifications; however, Sonic attached the cable to the outside of the house anyway. We have requested removal of the cable by phone and email and have not received any response. When we called they would only threaten a $20/month increase to our existing internet plan because we will not upgrade to fiber optic.Initial Complaint

04/14/2024 1:24pm Another Sonic.net canvasser ignored our no soliciting signs and knocked on our door. Please aid in sending cease and desist notification to this company. We have repeatedly told them we are not interested in their products and services.I informed the canvasser that I had already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (on 04/12/2024) because their employees keep ignoring our "No Soliciting" signs and knocking on our door to solicit. Informed the employee that he needed to see himself off the property.I have home security footage of the exchange. No Sonic.net employees or representatives are welcome on this property at any time for any reason. Please aid us in ensuring we have no further contact from this business.Initial Complaint

We have a gated yard with a bright red "NO SOLICITING" sign affixed to our gate.We have a secondary "No Soliciting, Smile You Are On Camera" sign posted by our front door.Sonic.net, Inc. canvassers repeatedly ignore the multiple "No Soliciting" signs and knock on our door to solicit their internet services. Their solicitors are extremely pushy and the reason we have those sign clearly posted.I have saved the home security footage of the latest violation. [04/12/2024 2:40pm-2:45pm]The solicitor left the contact name of "**** **************.Please help us to send a cease and desist notice to this company. For many years I have had landline with sonic.net.I got my first cell phone about 3 months ago and have been deprived of the use of the phone because sonic will not port my number over to any of three carriers who have tried nd failed to activate my new cell phone. i have been paying $75 monthly for the landline and internet at sonic. i tried to get $15 service from Mint, then ********** and X-finity for $55 monthly for cell activation and net. Each of these companies tried to get my number ported over from sonic. All FAILED! I thought my new Apple phone was dysfunctional and had to drive over with poor vision from cataracts to fix a problem. But the problem was not with the phone. Sonic would not port my number to any of these carriers "because they were putting the right information in the wrong place on an authorization form! For example, all companies got my name and all information correct but because they did not put it on the line indicating the *** authorization name (*****************************) sonic refused to port. *****, at x-finity, initiated a 3-way conversation between x rinity, sonic and me. All info was correct and spelled correctly. SONIC CONTINUED TO PORT ME OVER. I DESPERATELY need my new cel phone. I have begged and groveled. they refuse. This is financial ***** ABUSE. I need to go from $75 monthly to $55 monthy and need a CELL phone, as an elderly lady! this is FINANCIAL ELDER ABUSE. For health and safety i must have a cell. they will NOT release me after many many phone calls pleading and driving with cataracts to these companies for help. PLEASE HELP ME. Sonic is also threatening to take my number, that i devised which is 789-1011, an increasing number series just like counting. On april 1st, i will be paying BOTH X FINITY AND SONIC. I AM LOW INCOME. THIS IS EXTREMEY STRESSFUL OVER THREE MONTHS.! The cruel torture continues. PJLEASE HELP!!!!!Initial Complaint

There was a time where my account went into nonpayment so Sonic shutoff internet on Feb 24. When I asked to turn it back on on March 11, Sonic required that I pay full price for the time between 2/24 to 3/11 even when I didnt receive any internet service blaming me for not checking my alerts that my account was in nonpayment. Why should I pay for nonrendered service?Initial Complaint

I used Sonic as internet service provider starting 27Sep2020 and experienced the following fraudulent business practices. Sonic offers a fiber connection which requires significant installations and modifications when compared to other service providers. At the start of using their service, the monthly fee was $50.80.But in short order, the monthly fee was increased in two steps to $74.51 or about 50% price increase by Nov2023, while the provided service level / bandwidth actually decreased.I connected with their customer service to address these fraudulent business practices, but to no prevail. Therefore, I discontinued the service contract on 13Nov2023.At the time of my cancellation, there was a remaining prepaid service period of two weeks on my account (50% of the monthly $74.51, or $37.25).My payments were made via automatic monthly payment from my credit card, and it would have been straightforward for Sonic to refund my remaining balance to my credit card. However, they stated that this is against their policy, and refused without providing any reasonable explanation.Initial Complaint

Our internet and phone service has been non-operational for almost FOUR WEEKS. Sonic contracts their lines in this area through ***** **** reported an outage to them on Aug 30. Sonic claims that ATT has not given them an estimated time of reinstatement and continues to offer no target deadline for restoration of service. Sonic leases these lines, they pay for usage of these lines, how is it possible that ATT does not have an obligation to provide prompt repair and resolution? It is grossly unacceptable that there is zero information available both to Sonic and by association paying residential customers. Someone needs to hold either Sonic or ATT responsible. PLEASE ESCALATE THIS TO RESTORATION OF SERVICE. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I installed sonic internet few weeks ago. One of my room does not get good signal. I called the customer support for any solution they can provide. Their customer support is the worst one I have ever seen. Very bad attitude and all they were doing was pushing back issues to the customer. I did all they told me to do , changed a new set of routers, added a signal extender. No help at all. I complained to them their bad customer support revenged to my complaint and shut down my sonic modem signal. I have to report this business to the public and warn everyone staying away from this fraudulent companyInitial Complaint

On thur. Jun 1st about 8:15 pm, while waiting for food in the drive thru, an employee came outside to greet a dog in the car in front of me. She made contact with the dog, rubbing his head and neck, while head bumping him, and going back inside to serve food to waiting customers. This was the *********** **. Sonic.
