  This is an EVIL scam company. My husband purchased a book subscription for me, and I never received a SINGLE book. We contacted through all the means we had, and only received a response once that they were sorry and our complaint would be "elevated." Of course, we are in August, and I still have not received a single book. I would characterize it as gross negligence, except they just contested our credit card chargeback, telling our credit card company we were a woman in Washington DC and sending tracking receipts to a home in DC with a different name (we are in Texas). So this is simply a fraud company, failing to provide any product, and then lying to avoid getting a chargeback after 8 months of nothing. I have reported to the FTC and hope all do!

  I bought a couple of subscriptions for my sister 2 years ago and this service was fantastic. She liked getting the books -they came every single month on time -it was great. One time she didn't like a book and they immediately sent out a new book for her. Then in June I renewed her subscription for 6 months for her birthday. And she's not received a single book yet and is now December. I've been in contact with them I think 10 times through email and they keep promising me that they'll fix it. They have not . The subscription was I think like $179 and I am out six books and a fun experience for my sister.

  I received a 6 month subscription as a gift. I finally received 2 books months after requesting a status update via email and phone calls. I haven't received the remaining 4 books that have been paid for. I can't tell if it's a solo business owner who is overwhelmed or if it's something else.

  I ordered a 99 book subscription for my mother whose 86 bday was in July. She was supposed to get books in August Sept and October. It os now November and only 1 book delivered. There have been countless emails with promises of book delivery excuses such as the store moved etc. based on other reviews i see it looks like i will never see these books.

  My husband purchased a 12 month book subscription for me in December of 2022. He gave it to me early, because they said you had to be signed up by Dec 20 to get a book in January.Jan 25 I contacted them because it seemed odd I hadn't received my book yet. They were running behind- ice storm, but they assured my they send the book by the 12 of each month.March and April I had to contact them again. My April book didn't arrive until May, where they sent 2 at once.I contacted them in ***** got no reply. Contacted them again at the beginning, middle, and end of July. At the end of July I finally got a response, I told them I was moving, they asked for my new address and promised to send ***** July, and August to the new house. They never did. I contacted them again in August, and they promised they would send the books right away.They still haven't. So in August my husband did a charge back for 7/12 of the cost- that seems fair we got 5 of the 12 books.Now they're lying. Insisting they sent all the books to our old address, and that they were never informed of a change of address, and that we only bought a 3 month subscription.I have never been so thoroughly exhausted or disappointed by a gift. Every time they fail to meet their own deadline they have a different lie or excuse if they bother to respond at all. Do not shop here, they're just trying to steal from you.
