This towing company is operating in bad faith and charging victims extremely high prices for simple mistakes. Our car was towed from our apartment complex due to the window permit not being displayed correctly. Although this was our mistake, Ace Towing charged us $650 dollars for a tow that we picked up the same day, 5 miles away from where it was taken. They charged us $350 for the tow itself, $125 for a daily fee even though it was picked up the same day, and $175 for a gate fee. The largest issue we have with this is that the customer who was helped before us was only charged $325, half price, even though their car was towed from an apartment complex that is even further than ours. Their car was towed for the exact same reason, and yet they were given half price. When I asked if this price could be given to me, **** at Ace Towing refused any number lower than $650 and would not provide reason as to why we were being charged double the price that others were charged for the same service. Additionally, Ace Towing works with ******************* of **********, the company who is responsible for the security of my apartment complex. However, all they do is drive through the parking lot at night looking for any car who is not displaying their parking permit, to be immediately towed by Ace Towing. I noticed this security car was parked at Ace Towing while I was there, and I believe they are operating in bad faith. Ace Towing has charged be double what was charged to customers of the same circumstance. I have attached pictures of my receipt, and the receipt of the customers who were helped before me. You will notice they were not charged a gate fee or a daily fee for the same services. Ace Towing is a predatory towing company.

Today 2/12/25 I went into ace towing to pick up my vehicle due to a parking infraction. When I arrived at the office at 8:05, the doors were unlocked and the office was empty. While waiting for service, I stood at the front counter and notice in front of me. A stack of invoices including names, phone numbers, addresses, make model, license plate number, last 5 of my VIN, Along with traffic infractions, sitting face up in a small file bin. I was left alone in that room for about 10 minutes. Until somebody arrived After paying my bill, I brought this to the attention of the staff who had processed my transaction, and let them know that it felt like a violation of personal information. The response from the staff member was that I should not be looking through paperwork, and that they file those documents daily, where she gestured to a lose and unlocked file folder right next to it. On the front counter. I explained that regardless of my individual intentions, I know that my information we'll be on top of that stack later that day, where anybody can view my personal information. I explained the importance of keeping people's personal data and information safe and the staff completely disregarded my concern. I am concerned to know that in giving my information to this company that it is not safe. I really hope that this company takes the time to ensure the protection of people's personal information moving forward.

On 12/19/24 my friends car was starting to be towed in my parking spot in front of my garage because they said it was a fire lane. There was nothing marking it a fire lane (no red paint etc) and it was the part of the parking space with my garage. We saw them starting to tow the car and we ran out and they said we had to pay $150 to get the car off since they just connected it. I had to pay the money even though it was not in anyones way and was a valid parking space. After further inspection of the company, many reviews have had similar or worse experiences where they are wrongfully towing vehicles.

Monday, October 21st at 1am, go to empty parking lot where I left my car for less than 3 hours and it was no longer there. The parking lot was one that the apartment complexes across the street were under the assumption they could use for additional guest parking, as this notion was agreed upon with the landlords. Tow company said they recently started towing from that area, as in within a few weeks, and charged $650 to get it out of their lot. Very sketchy interaction and I feel like I have been ripped off.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/22/2024

the parking lot is private property. the ** has a security company that checks the property after business hours and tows any vehicles on the property. the ** has that right due to the fact that anything that happens on their property fall under their insurance. not yours or the apartments

I was picking up my friend to go the *** parked my car in her guest parking in her apartment complex. My car was towed and an hour later I called the towing company and explained to them that it was an Emergency situation, and that I want my car back and they said 650$ if I wanted it or I can wait until next morning and pay 475 $. I went with the second option. I have two points of complaints;1. Its an excessive amount for few miles maybe 3miles worth of towing!2. I always park my car in Emergency break on, so when I get my car the next day, I had all the dashboard lights on-I have a video proof of that- and also I smelled very strong smell of friction burn!

Parked in a public parking lot to go to dinner: there was an event near by that we did not attend. We were traveling from out of town and stopped in a restaurant for a total of 1 hr and 48min to be exact. Yes there were crowds and a big event happening but we were in a well now town square area for a recommended restaurant. We were told we were seen going to the event. How is that possible if I have a receipt from dinner? They charged $650 for a car that was towed less than an hour before under false pretenses. Was forced to sign the document in order to take the car back.

After my dad's truck was towed from the front of my house, while he was unloading my disabled daughter from the car, I had to physically grab the tow truck door handle and knock on the window of the driver who continued to drive despite my asking him to please stop. He refused to stop the vehicle until I got off, but I told him I was unable to, as he was driving 20mph. After approximately 2 additional minutes, he finally slowed to a speed I could jump from. He then attempted to increase his speed again so that he could get my dad's truck out of the park. To prevent this, I literally had to stand in FRONT of the truck. He eventually gave up and allowed us to get my dad's truck back by paying the $125 fee. ****** stated I had "seriously irritated" him and I would be "sorry".The next night, my friends car was towed from the spot at the front of the park that I pay for monthly to my parks management. It had the permit in the window and was legally parked. When I explained this to the receptionist at ACE she told me she didn't care and would not release the car for anything less then $1200.I filed a complaint with the owner, but was never able to reach anyone in management to speak with directly.Last night, my other friend was here unloading groceries from her car for me to bring into my house when her car was towed and put into storage. When I called ACE to get the info on getting it returned, I reached an answering machine that said there was nothing I could do, but wait until the following morning to request the fee info.THEY ONLY ENFORCE THE RIGHT TO TOW DURING NIGHTTIME HOURS AND NEVER DURING DAY TIME.There has been a car parked in front of my house for almost 3 hours this morning and they have not been towed. Yet, when my friend was in the exact same spot, unloading heavy bags of groceries for a total of 5 min, her car was towed.Im being targeted. See time in attached pix of car parked for hours in the daytime in front of my house.
