I hired Grand American tire in Simi Valley California to replace a transmission in my 2008 Ford F150. The gentleman quoted me a certain price I put deposit down the truck took way longer than expected to get picked up when I picked it up. The price was way more than I thought I still paid. Instantly drove out of the parking lot the truck made all these weird noises from the end. Nothing to do with the transmission. Took the truck right back to Grand American tire. They told me to look at it the following day which would be Saturday. I picked it up drove it had the same problem. This went on for a week or two then they took it to Simi Valley Ford without my permission. The truck sat there for six weeks transmission. Grand American tire was defective Ford put in another transmission. When I got my truck back, it still made all these weird noises in the front end a huge vibration Grand American tire for me to sign a release of liability just to get the keys back to my truck so I can test drive it. I drove it around the block and brought it right back to them with the same issue still sitting there. For some reason when Vick replace my transmission when I drove it out of there the front and made a funny noise so I brought it back and he told me he had to replace the axle in the motor mount which had nothing to do with the transmission so I think that’s why the vibration is there Now to put the liability on Simi Valley Ford, but the vibration came from the first go round with Grand American tire installing my first transmission Don’t understand why he had to replace the front axle and the front motor mount when he was only working on my transmission. I did ask him to do a new power steering pump because I had a small week they fixed it. They put a new power steering pump also.. He has the paper that I signed and my truck still and he won’t give me the paper back until I sign the release of liability for the truck, but I believe it’s all because the first go around

On September 5, 2023, I dropped my camping trailer off at GRAND AMERICAN TIRE(GAT) in Simi Valley to have my wheel bearings and seals replaced and packed with grease. I was charged $248..62 (1: invoice #543518). Later in the month I left on my road trip. Just past the California-Arizona state line, my trailer thrust to the passenger side and in my mirrors I saw thick black smoke. I immediately pulled over, exited my truck and running back to my trailer I saw flames coming from under the passenger side. As quickly as possible I extinguished the fire and found the tire and rim broken off of the trailer. Leaving the trailer on the side of the highway I drove to Needles, Ca and had a tow truck return to my trailer and tow it to the nearest gas station. (2: $400.00) I then found a hotel to spend the night because all the shops were already closed. (3:Motel 6 $66.16)
The following day I found a local shop who would be able to do the needed repairs. The parts had to be ordered so after having my trailer towed to the shop in Fort Mohave, AZ I returned home to Ca. because the repair was going to take a few days. (4: tow $231.09 tow).

BCH TRAILERS LLC received my trailer on September 21, 2023 and the repairs were completed on September 26, 2023. The total repairs cost $1555.95.(5:invoice #780). The mileage to make the round trip to pick up my trailer was 544 miles. Based on IRS mileage rate of $0.65.5 per mile, round trip travel expenses were $356.32.
    Total expenses for trailer $2,858.14

October 2, 2023 I went to GAT in Simi Valley and spoke to E**** and V***** regarding my trailer. I left them pictures from my trailer and the repair invoice from BCH Trailers LLC. I was told I would need to speak to G***** who is the district manager.

Phone calls were made to G***** and I spoke to him on 10-2 , 10-5, 10-10, 10-24, 10-26. With each phone call I was told he was working on getting my reimbursement. He was also given the pictures of the damage, invoices and the phone number to call ***, the owner of BHC Trailer. G***** said he would call and speak to *** regarding the repairs and issues *** found when working on my trailer. *** had explained to me when he took apart my trailer that it did not have the work done I had paid for on September 5th. *** had pictures of the wheel on my driver side that did not break and catch fire and it did not have new bearings or new seals. *** explained that this would have caused the spindles to break, catching on fire and causing the axle to break. *** also explained none of the damages would have occurred if the work was properly done by GRAND AMERICAN TIRE. When I spoke to G***** I was told during every phone call that he was working on getting a check to reimburse my expenses.
