    I was involved in a hit and run accident not at fault . My insurance company sent me a check to fix my rear bumper ,but the check also had the dealership name the check for a thousand dollars. The dealership told me they will not sign off on the check unless I fix it myself because people in the past just kept the insurance money , which I felt offended ,because I thought if you pay your insurance every month its for incidents like this not mention this is my second vehicle purchasing from them .I fix the rear bumper myself but not in time for check to be use .It took me longer than the sixty days before the check was void ,it took me four months to save up enough money away and pay my bills including my car note and insurance every month.

    We, South Gate Motors, have a policy that if any insurance Company sends out a payment for any collision damages to our mutual client with our name on check, we have the right to ask  the client to take the vehicle to a body shop and as soon as they have repaired it, and they prove to us that the vehicle has been repaired, then we can sign the check. Because we have had cases before where we have signed checks for clients and in the end they only used the payment that the insurance sent them for their personal expenses and not to repair the damage to the vehicle, just like client mentioned and we explained it to him but he got upset and said that he was going to speak to the insurance's appraiser to reissue him another check but with his name only. After that, the client only came to make his payments every month and never mentioned anything to us that he was repairing the vehicle at his own expense. Now, we are trying to reach out the assigned adjuster for the claim that he opened with his ***************** to verify if that check has been cashed, clear or if they have resend him another check to him. Until today, we still waiting for a response from his *****************.  In the event that the insurance confirms to us that the check was never cashed or that another check was never sent, then they have the obligation to resend another check to refund the client for the repairs and not us.

    It is a very sensitive subject in regards their towing company they have contracted due to the sensitive situation regarding my minor children I refuse to make a statement unless it is otherwise with the owner or a lawyer for Southgate motors my children have been traumatized and I believe they are neglecting the safety of our kids and other adults around the area

    Tell us why here...The client purchased the vehicle on 03/08/23 with a 30-day warranty for any mechanical problem. After its warranty has expired is the responsibility of the customer. The vehicle was never repossessed first of all. The facts were that yes, the vehicle was up for repossession. When the ************ arrived at the location of a laundromat, where the vehicle was located, driver hooked the vehicle to the tow truck. As soon as she saw what was happening at that specific moment, she ran with her children and put them inside the car making a fuss. The police were called because she did not want to get out of the vehicle with her children. As soon as the police arrived, the driver was told to unhook the car because she stated that she is living in the car with the children. This happened in the first week of January 2024, she can go to the police station to get more information since there is a report made by her. She gets upset when we are calling her to collect because she's always late with her payments and the times she has come to our office, she always comes screaming and insulting us with many rude things and we ask her to calm down but she does not shows any respect for any employee. The last time she was here was 5/15/24. We have evidence with our surveillance cameras the way she arrived aggressively with many insults carrying her child with her. We asked her for respect but she continued yelling. The Manager came out to speak to her but again, she kept screaming at him with many bad words. We had to call the police because she did not wanted to calm down and then she decided to leave so as not to confront the officers. The police arrived later on and we provide them with the videos as proof of her arriving with the vehicle speeding inside our lot having a minor with her. Then with attitude she gave to us that same day and we were advised by the officers to call them again if she comes back. Which she never did nor hasn't call our office as of today.

    Purchased a vehicle less than 3 months ago, transmission failed and needs to be replaced, car has been serviced already no resolution. Now they are trying to charge me to replace the transmission.

    Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/09/13) */ When purchasing vehicle, vehicle has 30 days warranty. Customer purchase an extended warranty which we are working on it. That's why it taking a little bit of sometime because it's a process that need to submit request for repairs and waiting for response from them and for approval.
