*************************** (owner of ********** Handyman Service LLC) was hired to do framing, drywall repair, patching, skim coating, priming, painting, and flooring installation. I paid him $2250 up front, with the arrangement that he would be paid the remainder when the job was complete. Within the first week on the job he did not show up 2 times. On the other days he sent only one worker with no materials to do the work of 3-4 people. His worker used scraps of old drywall from my trash pile instead of bringing in new drywall. Week two there was a third no-show. Each time I called him inquiring about the no-shows he promised he would get the job done on time. After two weeks and the third no-show he was already a week behind schedule. I confronted him about the lack of materials and inadequate workforce, and ***** responded with, "We've done enough of the work." At this point he had not completed the patching, skim coating, priming. painting, or flooring installation. The next day his worker did not show, again. I again confronted him and asked for a refund of half of the money I had paid him because less than half of the job had been completed. I also asked that he return the key his worker had been suing to enter and exit my building. He verbally refused any refund (even though I had paid for materials and labor that he did not provide. He never bought any paint and only sent one worker who didn't show up 3 times. He also refused to return my key and accused me of being demanding. I contacted his worker directly who returned the key two days later. I still have not received any refund. I also discovered that ***** posted photos of my job site on his Instagram business account claiming to have provided services that he did not provide. He also texted me asking for copies of the checks I had given him, even though he has already cashed them. I found this very odd. I want a refund of $1125
