After 20+ years of using Yahoo e-mail, I have been locked out of my accounts and cannot sign in even after days. My two accounts were both locked for unknown reasons and are both requesting verification from one another in an endless loop. My usernames and passwords are correct, however Yahoo is only offering support to unlock my accounts with a paid monthly subscription. If my login credentials are both correct, why can I not have access to my accounts?

I tried to change my recovery email for quite some time. Unfortunately, every attempt was unsuccessful and I received various error messages during the process. I figured Id try again at a later date to ensure that their bugs/issues were fixed. Well, that became impossible during the morning of October 7th. Thats when Yahoo! randomly decided that I needed to confirm my identity. Is it really you? I had no problem checking my emails the day before so it was an unexpected request. A code was sent to my recovery email address so that I could regain access to my current account. But, Ill never receive the code. Why? Well, Yahoo! inconveniently deactivated that old account without a warning so now its inaccessible. Ive officially reached a dead-end. It honestly feels as if this was deliberate so that I would need to pay for their premium service. Why should I be pressured into purchasing something I dont want? None of this wouldve happened if I was allowed to update my old recovery email address a long time ago. Now, Im supposed to pay and provide someone with personal information unrelated to my account and theres a possibility that nothing will be resolved? Absolutely not. Please, help!

I have two Yahoo Mail accounts one for my mom and for me. When I tried to log into mine, I was prompted to verify my identity, and Yahoo said they would send a login code to my secondary email. However, when I attempted to access that account, I received the same message, with a code being sent to my main email. Now they want me to pay to get back into them, this is very unprofessional and is not going to happen. After reviewing several sites I see this is an ongoing issue with other people, I really hope people will see how they are hurting others.

I have TWO Yahoo accounts and, as with other complaints Ive read...I too, am LOCKED out of my accounts. While signing in to either, I am then informed that a security code will be sent to the other account, and vice versa, when entering my password. Thinking someone had hacked my account, I became alarmed, then angry. When I purposely entered the WRONG password, I received a DIFFERENT message, INCORRECT PASSWORD. Unlike the previous message, telling me to retrieve a PASS CODE, from the OTHER YAHOO ACCT... that is giving the EXACT MESSAGE, ONLY REVERSED!!One account is from 2002, part of the address...and, the other not much later!!What is our recourse.. ***, ***? It seems we are no longer valued, purposely targeting long time users, to open up email addresses for new customers, dumping the long time, loyal ones !On TOP of that we are told that, in order to get any assistance, you must pay!! That's unsavory, and unethical! After being a loyal customer for this many years, you would think Yahoo would have alerted users via news outlets, of the intention. Thereby giving their customers an opportunity, to add phone or other email addresses, to prevent this disaster. Will I have to notify my personal and business contacts, and direct them to another email server??This issue is not only problematic but dangerous!

I suddenly cannot get into my yahoo mail account at all, i was on it the day prior and now all of sudden It's asking me for a verification of my old phone number which i don't have access to anymore!!! Now my only option is to call and pay them money to recover my account which is very illegal to do considering it's a free email!! I just want access to my account immediately as I have very important emails that need to be accessed! If I can update my number that would be very nice! Yahoo needs to be *** for this!!!

I have filed a complaint (extortion) against YAHOO this morning with my main now locked email address: **************************************** by mistake so that I could not get contacted by YAHOO or BBB for update and the file number. My long-time trouble-free 2 accounts (another account: *********************************** were locked out to verify my identity all of the sudden last night. Since these 2 accounts are connected to verify each other's account, I could not get a code to unlock them. Upon searching online I was shocked to find out that this simple technical issue is YAHOO's new evil business practice to extort and collect money and private information (driver's license number with face shot photo) from vulnerable long-time account holders who store so many important information on our accounts. Please send me a verify code to my phone number ************ or newly registered for this purpose address ************************************ to unlock these important accounts. I desperately need to use this account to contact with my aging dad who's birthday is coming up very shortly. Thank you.

I have 3 email accounts with **********************. I log into them on a regular basis. The other day I cleared my browser history and now when I try to go into my email accounts it says it needs to verify the account. Is it really you? The phone numbers I have listed on the accounts are no longer valid. Yahoo wants to send a verification code to phone numbers thats arent valid. I have the correct password, but they still want to send verification code to invalid numbers. When I called Yahoo, they told me I had to pay to be able to login. *** had these email accounts for over twenty years and now I cant get in. They are basically holding my accounts hostage l. I have bills that go to these accounts and I cant retrieve them.

I did receive a call from Yahoo. I was able to login into two of the accounts. The third account needed further verification, which I did not have at the time Yahoo called. I called them back and left voicemail once I had the info but have not heard back. Hopefully, they will return the call and I can gain access to the third account.   Thank you

For the second time in the last year, emails from my inbox disappeared, and I could only find them in the trash folder, even though I did not delete them. This is serious because these are emails that are important to me. There has to be some flaw, and I'm noticing that this happens with the Yahoo phone app.

Yahoo! is a corporation, which has a ToS and has a basic legal contract when signing up for their mail service. That ToS and legal contract does not involve a required payment to them when they lock me out of my personal email account for no reason on multiple occasions, which they have now been 'enforcing' through their online help to obtain access back into my account after they locked me out on several occasions, even though I enter my user name, password, and even recently had to add a phone and alternate email which I did not desire to do. Then for several days they were requiring a a two step verification through my other email when I do not have two step verification activated, as it is worthless, but have the keep me signed in box activated. I use the Yahoo! email address for personal, business, ministry, health and other functions, which has been hindered multiple times in the past months, affecting various avenues of life, with major unwarranted delays and illegal solicitations for payment (blackmail) to obtain access to my own private information in my Yahoo! mail account. Their original reason as stated on their own help website was that the account may be locked for having tried to gain access through too many differing IP addresses. I have been in **************, **********, and in several cities thereof. I do not care if I have gained access through a 1000 IP addresses, so long as it is my user name, and password, I should be allowed freedom of access. That Yahoo! is tracking my IP address logins, which carries location information, is also illegal and not in their ToS, or legal contract. I want access back into my Yahoo! mail account, permanently with no more blackmail, for payment to obtain access to my account through their phoney 'premium' 800 number. It's a scam, and they are about to be sued over this illegal behaviour, including, if necessary, individual phone operators who agree to participate in the scam.

I cannot login into my yahoo email accounts and I am receiving an Is that you message. I am being sent codes for recovery but I am being prevented from logging in. I was not sent a requested recovery code to my cell phone. I did not forget my passwords or enter incorrect passwords. The instructions on the website do not resolve the account being locked in a loop of sending recovery codes and preventing me from logging in. A credit card payment is being demanded to receive assistance and access to the yahoo accounts which I have had for over 15 years. There is no information provided on how much will be charged for fees. The yahoo email accounts are ************************************ and ************************************************
