BBB opened an investigation into this firm due to the number of inquiries we have received. According to BBB files, consumers allege not receiving the purchases they paid for. Furthermore, consumers allege not being able to get a response with the details of their orders or refunds. On March 26, 2025 the BBB contacted the company regarding our concerns about the amount and pattern of complaints we have received, unfortunately, the BBB did not receive a response.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Prompt Delivery Rules "spells out the ground rules for making promises about shipments, notifying consumers about unexpected delays, and refunding consumers' money. On January 7, 2025,BBB Serving Los Angeles and Silicon Valley requested that the businesssubstantiate, modify, or discontinue claims on the company's website, https://lipostallow.com/.The businessadvertises claimed results and efficacy claims such as the following:
- “It is a VERYpowerful moisturizer for the skin, doesn't clog pores, and is 100%sustainable and natural!”
- “It also contains Vitamin E, which is known to rejuvenate the skin andprevent wrinkles.”
- “Our Whipped Tallow Balm is fluffy, luscious, creamy and has amazing benefits/ ancient skin-healing properties.”
- “Our original is perfect for those with sensitive skin, babies, pregnantwomen, and can be used pretty much anywhere on the body!”
- “Great for sunburns, stretch marks, chronic dry skin, uneven skin, eczema,diaper rash and more!”
- “Benefits: deep cleansing, acne prevention, evens skin tone, improved skintexture”
- “Cloves are a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-fungal herb that helps tofight and prevent acne, blemishes and scarring.”
- "It is effective in treating everything from dry skin to diaper rashes.”
The BBB Code ofAdvertising states that, “1.1 The primary responsibility for truthful andnon-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should beprepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publicationor broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly tothe advertising medium or BBB. 34. Claims relating to performance, energysavings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be basedon recent and competent testing or other objective data.”
As of January 30, 2025, the business has failed to respond to our request forsubstantiation, modification, or discontinuation of the advertised claims.
