    1) I went to Twin Cities Community Hospital ER on 8/4/24 for stitches on my finger. The hospital scanned my insurance card and my ID. 2) I received a call from the billing dept a week or so later telling me what my out of pocket portion was and that they filed the claim with my insurance, United Health so I made a payment of $1,288.40 on 8/7 assuming that this was the out of pocket AFTER they filed the claim with my insurance. 3) I found on in Oct 2024 that Twin Cities Community Hospital/Adventist Health never made that claim with my insurance after speaking with United Health. United Health called Twin Cities/Adventist Health while I was on the phone to understand why the claim was never made and also have them submit the claim. Twin Cities said they will file the claim immediately after that phone call with United and that it will take 2 weeks to get it to United. This phone call occurred week of 10/14 or 10/21. I also asked for my refund of $1,288.40 to be issued immediately since they need to file the claim with insurance first in order to determine my out of pocket afterwards. Twin Cities said they will issue me the refund after they get the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) with United which can take two weeks. 4) I called Twin Cities/Adventist again on 10/25/24 to see the status of the claim. They said they processed the claim and it is sitting with United. I called United and United stated they still don't have the claim. Twin Cities said they will resend it and they should get it within a week. 5) I called agained on 11/1/24 and they said the claim as never submitted to United Health which was different than what I told. But the call center rep told me they will submit the claim that day. 6) I called again today, 11/8/24 and they said they still have not submitted the claim to United Health yet because they were missing info on their end and that it will take 30 days on Twin Cities end to correct that info.
