On 03/14/25 we went to Diamond Truck sales *** worked with ******, He told me I need $5000.00 down payment, so I wrote him a check for $3000.00 and we would have the rest by the next week, He had us fill out contract after he had already deposited the check, After doing research on them, I decided to not go with them for the purchase of the truck. I called and visited him many times asking for the down payment back, all he kept telling me was "I can only give you store credit" I still don't even know if I am approved for the truck.Business Response

I feel I was scammed. I spoke with ****** a sales *** with Diamond Trucking and was told to even start working to see if a deal can happen she needed good faith money for the banks. This is my first time trying to purchase a truck so I thought she was honest. $5000.00 was provided for good faith and the total down was supposed to be $10,000.00. We were told they had access to 26 banks but I never received any denial Letters from 1 bank. I was told the only bank that would approve us was Diamond finance company, as California does this when a loan request is shopped. I want a full refund of my good faith money.Initial Complaint

I was offered Terms of ****** down, 36 months and 17% financing on the remainder. I agreed to the terms and gave them 5000 in good faith. I was informed several days later that they had approvals at different terms. After several conversations, I told them I no longer believed any information coming from them and I no longer wanted to do business with them. They refuse to return my 5000. Its a fraudulent truck sale because they knew everything that was wrong with the truck before they sold it to me, I can prove this because the mechanic had trouble hooking up his device, connecting it to the truck to see whats wrong with it so the dealer had to know that this problem existed.Business Response

On June 18 2024, I contacted Diamond Truck Sales at ************ about a 2019 ***** semi truck listed for $39k. in ******* Sc. I was asked to send a deposit to hold the truck until I get there to look it over. I sent $1500 and was to go look at the truck the next day. Once I get there to look at the truck, I noticed it was $49k. I called the sales lady and she stated that the truck was mistaken listed for $39k but she could knock $2k off. I refused the offer. She then stated she could get me in another truck for $39k. A few days later, she called and said she had an International truck in ******* that she would fly me out to look at but she needed $2k more deposit. I told her I was not sending any more money but she kept insisting me to do so. At this point, I felt pressured and uncomfortable with the situation and asked for a refund. She stated all refunds are handled thru her manager Shilo at ************. I tried contacting ***** but he would never answer the phone but he would send a text stating he'd call me shortly in which never happened. At this time, the company i was leased to began to slow business and I desperately need my refund. After dozens of unanswered calls, ***** sends a text this time stating to call customer relations at ************. I call this number and no one ever answers, it states to leave a message. I've left numerous of messages but haven't received a return call yet. I feel as if this company is intentionally trying not to reimburse me my money after they have lied to me about the cost of the truck.Business Response

I found a truck at Diamond Truck Sales. Initially I was told it was DOT inspected and certified . I put $2,000 down, the requested deposit was $7,000 and I communicated I would pay the additional amount once I saw the truck physically. They told me the truck was located in ***** but when I advised them I was coming the following day, they then said the truck was in **************. They offered me shipping if I payed the remaining deposit. Once I arrived, the truck was definitely not inspected or certified , and I was later told that was miscommunication on their part. The truck needed a new windshield, front headlight, top marker light, brake and turning signal light, nine new tires, def system and filters, the check engine light was on, APU was inoperable and power steering was not functional preventing the wheel from being turned. The management team advised they would fix the issues within a week and then I could take possession. They started calling 2 days after that requesting the additional money. The truck was not ready due to parts but they insisted I pay $2,000 additional since they were correcting the issues. I agreed and immediately wired the money. They called me and told me the truck was ready, I arrived and the truck was not on the lot. They told me to give them a few days and they would get the truck there. They then asked for more money and I declined until I saw the truck. Two days later the manager called and told me the truck was sold and they would give me store credit. I advised I have no intention of doing business with them and I needed my money back the same way I gave it to them. 4 months later I am still getting the runaround, my money has not been returned. They are now saying the truck is NOT sold even though I have in writing from management it was.Business Response

On September 26 of 2023, I came to and agreement with Diamond Truck Sales to purchase an commercial vehicle from their business. I viewed their equipment and decided to purchase a truck that was priced at $49,600 dollars. We came to an agreement which stated that I pay $12,500 US dollars (paying $7000 on that day via Business card) for a down payment, in exchange for the vehicle. The total after taxes and fees was around $51,000. The agreement was that I pay $1340 a month for 42 months, boosting the total to $56,280 US dollars. I looked signed this agreement (see attachments). A few days later *****, the branch manager (by his own designation) changed the agreement terms. The new terms stated that I pay $70,938 over 42 months.I explained to Nasar that the agreement was already signed. I then asked him for a refund. ***** has refused to give me my $12,000 dollars back. This is preventing me from moving on with my future endeavors. First Ill start with it was never told to me that my deposit was non refundable. These guys actually talk my wif into forging my name on the buyers order and convinced her into the deposit. She was oblivious to the scheme until it was to late. Then after they get our deposit of $5000 they begin telling us there were lots of denials because Im a new driver then I was quoted an interest rate ****% and now it looks like its more like 50 or 60%. I was given options on in the beginning on length of payments to which I have the texts and was told I should go with the lesser months that I would save but that was mis information and was told when that didnt pan out that they could not explain how that came about. The longer this drags on the sketchier this deal becomes Im 2 weeks in and couldnt be more disappointed and dis satisfied in the deal these guys are trying to make. They even tried to get me to go with an insurance company they know that quoted a rate that is twice what I could get on my own. I also contacted another finance company that offers to finance me at decent rate which diamond never quoted a rate just the payment but the finance company said if I would choose another dealership because of terrible business practices and bad equipment. Im contacting my bank to get help before speaking to an attorney for advice. I may lose my deposit but I refuse to give this establishment any more of my hard earned money. I hope this review will help someone else to not make the same mistakes that I made. I cant believe that this business is allowed to continue to operate. I am rejecting this response because I was told that there was only one lender agreeing to financing and they requested an additional amount (****) for down payment. Also I was quoted a payment of ******* for 30 months and that turned in to ******* for 42 months. Which added thousands to original quote. I am rejecting this response because:u took our money without mentioning that it was non refundable until after u got it that to me is not ******** quoted me a rate and terms that u could not fulfill and still refuse to give us our money back. The rate and terms are what made the deal and when these things didnt happen that became a deal breaker. So unless you are offering a refund of my money there is no positive outcome to this. U convinced me to try and buy ur equipment for a rate and terms that u could not produce and then try to force me into a bad deal by refusing to give back my money if that is not scandalous or fraudulent I dont know what is!!!Customer Answer

Hello everyone as a minister of the Gospel I live my life to spread the truth. Today I have no choice but to edit my previous review. My sales guy is a awesome young man doing the best he can with what he has.This dealer has some beautiful trk and you best be buy smart. Do not buy a trk from here until everything is in writing and you have done everything possible to check the trk out.You need to drive the trk 300 miles and have it put on a computer by another dealer. I picked up my trk monday July 21 and left their yard apx 3 pm got home in ******* ** (100miles) packed the trk ready for work Tuesday Left out of ******* at 4pm 8:30 pm the lights lit up like Christmas and the trk was in moderate mode and only drove 55mph.I immediately text salesman and Diamond trk sales showed me their **** to kiss. My problem isn't with the sales people it's with management and the ownership. You should honor the dealers you make. These people are gamblers and their using your money, your lives and future of your family to do so.If you are in a tight spot, selling your loyal daily trk to buy something better due to need DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE WITH DIAMOND PAY THE EXTRA COST TO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.Take in mind my updated pics are me working on a trk I've spent everything I have on and it's a few days old for me.
