Was contacted in June 2021 by the Student Prep Center, who offered to see if I qualified for a reduction in my student loan payments. They had information indicating that they were aware of all of my student loans and could access my information. They sounded legitimate. I completed the application process they requested and was later advised that I qualified for a 10-year deferment plan which would require $180 per month for the first 4 months followed by $540 per month after that with a reduction that would occur once I retire. I provided them a credit card to use for the automatic payments. Review of the debits indicates sporadic debits and one debit of $360 rather than the monthly debit -- total debits to date of $$720. I tried to contact the company with no success either via phone or via e-mail. Today I contact ***********, my original consolidation company, and they confirm that none of the payments have been applied toward my student loans and the company is not legit.

I mistakenly signed a contract with Student Prep Center in regards to federal loan forgiveness on September 2, 2021. I was told that given my income I qualified for complete forgiveness after 4 monthly payments of $195 and that I would need to submit proof of income in order to maintain eligibility in this program. They have withdrawn my first payment however I have not been asked for proof of income and I'm currently being asked by my original loan servicer, to re-instate the automatic payments that were in effect prior to the pandemic. I received a welcome call last week from SPC however I was unable to answer as I was at work and I returned the call yesterday with no response. After reading many of the reviews on BBB and then emailing the address listed on my contract and receiving an "address not found" email and attempting to access their website that doesn't exist, I'm reaching out to lodge another complaint as I, like many, fell for this fraudulent scam.

I was contacted in June from Student Prep C stating that I qualify for a new government student loan forgiveness that was recently passed into Law. I do understand they are a 3rd party company. They stated they would handle my paperwork, as long as I submitted the proper documents sign the clixsign which they emailed me and I completed on 6/23/2021 and made my 2 payments which I did 7/9/21 $390. and 8/9/21 $290. They promised me within ***** days this would be removed from my credit report and it hasn't and won't come off my credit report until the loan is either paid off or discharged per Nelnet which is my original loan collector. This was promised to me on when we talked multiple times on the phone. I have tried to call with no response. They stated all calls are recorded! This is the only reason I used them as I am working on rebuilding my credit. If they wouldn't have promised this to me I would not have used them. I feel a refund is appropriate as #7 of the contract states.

I called this company thinking I would be receiving legitimate student loan forgiveness. I did sign the agreement unknowing of the false information. They said it would be sent out to ******** Services (which is a legit company with DoE). I reached out to ******** and they said if its any third party company they do not work for the DoE. I contacted them to cancel my agreement. Which stated in the agreement if its before 72 hours after signing you can cancel. I called and told them I needed to cancel the agreement because I was no longer interested. The lady on the phone panicked and said that they were a different company and I had the wrong number. She also blocked my phone number. I called again on another phone and told the next lady I wanted to cancel, she said my enrollment was sent to another company. I asked her what their name was and she said they are called Student **** Services, I pressed her for a real answer and she hung up on me. They should be ashamed, fraud company.
