    California's Tenant Protection Act of 2019 (AB 1482) only allows a rent increase of up to a maximum of 10% per year. Our rent was increased from $1371 to $1974 on 10/01/2022, about a 44% increase in rent. The maximum amount the rent could be raised to is $1508.10 a . My family and hundreds of other families in the Twentynine Palms, California area renting from Liberty Military Housing, are involved in blatant theft and corrupt business practice. Money that was allotted by the Department of Defense (DoD) to help military families get by in these troubling time, stolen to line the pockets of a corrupt employee owned company. Their business mission "SERVING MILITARY FAMILIES, OUR TEAM & OUR PARTNERS", while only serving themselves and their own interest, while the military families are left to struggle.
