    On 7-13-2022, I brought my **** Camaro to get a smog test at California Smog Check **************** at 8:26 am. It took a total of 31 minutes from start to finished. The technician name is *************************' After the inspection I drove home and thought about washing my car. when I got out and look at my car to see if it need to be wash that is when I noticed the scratch instantly. I drove back to the smog shop (around 9;35 am) and showed the technician, ****** the scratch and I told him that he scratched my car. He denied it. I told him this scratch is done by you dragging you hose or whatever tools you use over the hood to get to the other side. I told him the scratch is fresh and that it has paint residue on the scratched area still. He continue to denied it. I told him this car hardly get driven and that it sit in the garage covered with a car cover and soft blankets. I told him I have picture of this car without the scratch on it. He got angry and raised his voice and continued to repeat over and over "do you have picture from today? do you have picture from today?". I told him this car hardly get driven and that it sit in the garage. He yelled at me that I was making up s*** and that I need to take my piece of s*** junk and leave and walked off. I responded with "you will hear from my insurance company" and left. He was very rude and very unprofessional. I went home and contact my insurance company.

    I am rejecting this response because:    The response by the smog tech is a flat out lie. He did scratched my hood. I have taken my car to him to smog twice. Two years ago, he smog my car and I watched him dragged cable across my car(thank goodness he didn't scratched it then). He was more careful back then. He is the only shop that can test old car in *********. My car is only driven about 200 mile every two year between smog check. No other shop touches my car. The only auto shop that see my car is ***********(his shop). No one works on my car but me. Yes, my car is clean, I clean my car after every drive even if it is clean before I cover her back ** in the garage. I know every inch of my car. To say that I am using him as a scapegoat is ridiculous! For what? Just be honest and take responsibility for your mistake. own it!
