On Mon, Dec 12, 2022, I purchased the Monday-Friday Meal plan with an expected delivery later that week. Upon my confirmation, I was told that there was an issue with the delivery date and that my order was to be postponed until the following week due to heavy rain conditions... Later that week I was told again via email by **** the owner that my delivery would again be postponed due to bad food delivery. After two failed attempts, I was disappointed of the continuous of execution and delivery of my order by Spicy Girl Meal Prep and requested a refund. ****, the owner, confirmed with me via email on 12/14/22 that I would receive my refund within **** business days. That time lapsed and I did not receive my refund. Every time that I called to follow up I received horrendous customer service and still have not recieved my refund. All in all, I chose this company because I wanted to support local businesses and was disappointed that this turned out to be no more than a scam.Business response

Date of transaction: 13th Jan 2023 The amount paid to the business: $1179.00 What the business committed to provide you: ****, the owner said that she will prepare meals and deliver per my diet plan. She agreed to it.What the nature of dispute is:1. Initially food wasnt here as promised on Tuesday 17th Jan. I followed up, then I was told that I will be getting on Tuesday, 24th Jan.2. On 24th, driver had a flat tire and did not deliver the food. I had no communication of what is going on or where the driver is. I followed, did not get any response until I finally asked for refund on 25th.3. Then **** told that she is remaking the food and she will deliver it on 27th. When I finally got the food that, it was not to what was agreed. There were muffins, some kind of cake, shrimps. No label on any food to know if the other food is vegetarian or is meat. This was no where in the diet plan I sent her. 4. On 28th ***** sent her email that I want to cancel rest of the order and want a refund as it is not what she agreed on.5. They went silent on me till I wrote yelp review and has not responded to refund requests till date. I feel cheated.I filed dispute with *****, but they cannot do anything as this transaction was to a person. I am rejecting this response because:
Ma'am I am here to express my disappointment regarding the food I received, which did not align with the agreed-upon meal plan. Despite paying $1,000, I did not receive what I had signed up for, and this left me feeling extremely let down. I want to emphasize that I was attempting to address this issue politely.
Due to my pre-diabetic condition, adhering to a specific meal plan is crucial for my health. Since I am unable to dedicate time to cooking meals myself, I opted for your services. However, the food I received did not meet my dietary requirements, and I couldn't even taste it as it deviated from my prescribed macros. It is worth noting that my meal plan strictly consists of vegetarian options, yet I was sent shrimp and a bag full of sweet cake, which I was not supposed to consume in any case.
I hope you understand that I have no reason to fabricate this situation. I was not granted a refund, and I feel cheated as a result. This experience has taught me a valuable ******* leading me to lose trust in small businesses like yours. It appears that there are several other individuals who have encountered similar issues, and I urge you to prioritize self-respect and work towards improving the customer experience rather than accusing your clients.
While I do not know you personally, if you were facing difficulties and needed financial assistance, I would have been willing to help if you had approached me directly. Resorting to deceitful practices is disheartening. I sincerely hope that you will reflect on this matter and refrain from deceiving others in the future.

I purchased a 1-week, 14 meal, plan on 9/3/22 paid through Venmo. Before I received the meals for that week, **** had a Labor Day promotion and I purchased a 6-week, 84 meal plan on 9/6 for $959 paid through Venmo. I received the 14 meals on 9/7, after the Labor Day weekend. On 9/9, I noticed that the meals had started going bad, they smelled and tasted rotten and also, had started to get slimy and the green beans were grey in color. I emailed **** the pictures, told her the issue and she offered to replace the meals. I replied and accepted her offer for replacement meals and told her I wanted to be reimbursed for the Labor day promotion. She stopped responding after that. The following week, I waited for the replacement meals to be delivered on 9/13 since her delivery day is Tuesday. She never confirmed that she would be delivering meals that day, but since she said she'd replace them, I waited anyway just in case to avoid them going bad again. No meals arrived and no emails were received confirming our agreement. I emailed her asking what had happened and for a resolution. No response received. On 9/14, I texted her asking for us to reach an agreement, but the only thing she insisted on was to replace the meals and stated that: 1) she would not reimburse me for those meals in question, 2) that she would return my money for the Labor Day promotion. I attempted to come to an agreement with her by not including meals #5 & 6 that had went bad, nor the delivery charge for those bad meals for a total of $94.28. I did not feel comfortable receiving meals any longer. NO response thereafter. I reached out to **** several times after 9/14 asking for a resolution. I sent her a Venmo payment request for the $959 that she had agreed to pay me with no response or payment as of yet. I am now requesting to be reimbursed for 8 meals not consumed and the 2 meals that were rotten, plus delivery: $142.86, plus the Labor Day promotion reimbursement. Total: $1,101.86.Business response

Preparation of your order begins within 24 hours after your order has been confirmed. We cannot accept cancellations once your order has been confirmed. If you request to postpone a delivery we just need to know the date and well change it for you. We need at least 72 hours notice of a postponement request. We deliver Tuesday & Fridays between 10am-2pm. Orders need to be in by Saturday at 5 for Tuesday delivery and orders need to be in by Tuesday at noon for Friday delivery. If you order after these deadlines orders will be rolled over to the next delivery date. Expect a weekly delivery if you order a 4-6 week packages.
We are not responsible for spoilage, as we prepare all dishes fresh and follow all food safe handling criteria right to your door. We recommend keeping meals no more than 5 days without freezing. You must report your issues in writing and with photos within 24 hours of the meals being delivered. Every meal is made to order, we do not store cooked food for days then ship it to you. The food will last 3-5 days depending on the type of meals you order. Seafood and Salads typically is 3 days and Beef, Poultry and Vegetables up to 5 Days. You can freeze all meals except salads and eat at a later date.
Someone needs to be home to receive the order or you can leave a cooler with ice out. Unfortunately We do not offer pick up, Our commercial kitchen is non-customer facing.

I am rejecting this response because:You state that meals last 3-5 days and on my 5th and 6th meal, they were already spoiled.
I contacted you immediately and sent pictures as proof of the color difference in the green beans and the white film on the veggies.
I have proof that you said you'd replace them because you "wanted to make it right." I agreed to receive replacement meals, but I have proof that you didn't respond back regarding delivery nor did you delivery replacement meals. I also have proof that you agreed to return my money for the Labor Day promotion. I have an additional email as proof that you said you'd, "Get to it!" I had already attached all of the proof in pictures and screenshots of out text and email conversations. You are running an unethical business and you are stealing my money. I say this because you never delivered the meals for the 6-week Labor Day promotion, so no product was ever received and you are keeping my $959 after you said you'd return it. I will, one again, attach the proof to all of the communication as proof. You said you'd send me replacement meals, never delivered them, and are refusing to return my money for the promotion that you STATED that you would return to me. I have all the proof.

She stated that she would return my money for the $959 Labor Day promotion. (Refer to Text message Screenshot #4) I attempted to come to an agreement with her by not including meals #5 & 6 that had gone bad, nor the delivery charge for those bad meals for a total of $94.28. No response thereafter. I reached out to **** several times after 9/14 asking for a resolution. I sent her a Venmo payment request for the $959 that she had agreed to pay me and she denied the request three times.
I tried to come to a fair resolution to this issue regarding the spoiled meals, but her lack of response and bad customer service has led me to feeling like she has no intention of working this out, much less return my money for the Labor Day Promotion. She is refusing to reimburse me for the meals that were bad and hasnt reimbursed me for the promotion, which I never received product for either. I believe this business is a fraud and has no intention of returning my money. While I understand that she doesn't reimburse for spoiled meals, I did reach out to her as soon as I noticed that meals were already going bad. She does state that if there is a problem to inform her within 24-hrs, and I believe that the time I had the meals (Wednesday afternoon to Friday at noon and then 5pm for dinner), were a very short time period for meals to go bad after delivery since she states they should last at least 5 days. She chose to go against her own policy and offered to replace meals, which I accepted, and then didnt deliver them or respond. Her customer service and communication is seriously lacking,
Ideally, I would like to be reimbursed for both the 1-week meals that went bad ($200), and the $959 promotion which I never received meals for. I understand the delivered meals are a separate issue. But I expect to get my money back for the $959 promotion because it isn't a reimbursement issue where there is product involved. I have never received meals for this promotion, so she is literally choosing to keep my money without providing a product. I also have a Venmo dispute open in an attempt to get my money back.
