We previously put in 1 order on-line for some pens from Central Business Systems, *** in *** Nuys, CA which was not an issue but now we continually receive boxes of pens that we did not order with thousands of dollars in invoices and have no way to return them. I have called several times and no one ever picks up the calls. They did not give us an option to send back the 2 boxes of pens to have these invoices cancelled being we did not order them. I looked up this business name on-line and called the ** office. They told me this company is not apart of their business and it is a scam and they receive many calls complaining about the exact same thing and wish someone would find out who this company is and have them stopped. They told me that they previously worked out of ******** but appears now they have moved to CA.Business Response

In December of 2022, Central Business Systems of *********************************************************************** contacted our company looking to develop a business relationship to see if we could move forward and place some orders for office supplies with them. ** stated that we already had everything arranged for office supplies and any of the products that they offered. At that point, they offered to send us a box of pens and a small gift card which has not been used on their companies dollar to just keep them in mind moving forward if we had any issued with our current suppliers. This single box of pens came to us and turned out to be a giant box with at least 30 smaller boxes of pens and on top of that, they sent an invoice where the price per pen was an absurd amount of money. ** typically get our pens for 10% of what they charged us. I tried calling immediately upon receiving the invoice and every single department that the directory offers to transfer you to is closed and has been every week for the past month that I've been trying to reach them. There is also no operator that anybody can get ahold of. There has been no contact since, other than sending our company invoices via mail, so there's not an email we can reach out to in order to get this resolved. The names I have on record, which at this point, I'm not sure are actual people are ******************* the Billing Manager and *******************, the sales rep. ** have everything ready to send back but was never able to be given any information on how to send the pens back. This is an absolute Con Business and needs to be addressed. I will continue to put word out on this business to make sure they don't continue to scam businesses.Business Response

Sales rep from Central Business Systems called our office and asked our receptionist what type of products we use for business supplies. The receptionist isn't authorized to make purchases and they know that it isn't part of their job to do so. The company just send a large quantities of pens and ******* markers that will last several years. The receptionist didn't place an order with them. When we attempted to call them back over a serval day period, no one in any department answers the phone, including their operator. They are scamming companies into shipping products that are not purchased by authorized purchasing agents.Business Response

Received call regarding purchasing office supplies. Initially speaking with salesman he asked what items I used on a regular basis told him to send me pricing which was never done automatically just sent order with ridiculous amount of product that will clearly last for a year. Called back said they were sending the balance to finish out the order. At that time I stated do not need this product so again asked for amounts and price nothing ever came via email with pricing. Again product showed up with visa gift cards. I emailed them today to not send anything further as it would be refused and not paid for. Have never signed any agreement with this company and they say they are recording and all questions are leading and manipulative totally bad business practices so avoid this company at all cost.Business Response

That is a complete false statement. The questions are leading and you never specifically are asked can I send you this order. They start off offering gift cards then the conversation turns to what items do you use. I on several of the phone calls said I need to see pricing and make my decision. Not once was I told the quantity or the dollar amount. I have ordered supplies for my company 20 years and never would have purchasd the quantity that came in the last 2 shipments. They lead off on the first billing with a reasonable figure then when they call back and I said don't need anything they come back with no you need to fulfill your commitment then we can close the account knowing full good and well I did not COMMIT to anything. On 5 invoices from them I paid ***** which is an entire year for my office supplies. I will gladly listen to there recording because everything they stated is a complete lie. After I faxed them reponses that I had filed a complaint the salesman **** went on a ridiculous calling me for several days numerous times a day and even my cell phone. They are complete frauds and I got scammed but lesson learned. They should be put out of business. I was contacted by phone from a *** ****** with Central Business Systems, Inc. back in June of this year, 2022. He was selling office supplies and asked who was in charge and I replied I was. He never gave me a chance to explain I am in charge of what needs ordering and my supervisor authorizes the charges. I do not have authority to purchase. *** asked what we used most of and I said the dry erase markers. He said that he would get some out to me. I thought he was sending samples for free. Instead he sent me ** assorted dry erase markers at ***** a marker for a total of ******** They also charged us ****** in shipping. I refused this order and shipped it back at their expense. They are still charging me. We are a manufacturing company. We would never pay ***** per marker when we receive these same markers in a box of ** for ***** and free delivery. This invoice is for ******** They will not void this invoice. We are not paying this bill. We do not have their product. No one will take care of this matter. They give me the run around every time I call to clear this up. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!Business Response

Someone from Central Business Systems called and said he would send a cataloge and free pens. Instead they sent pens and invoice for $483.97. We have tried to call the company to return the pens but after 5 calls without answer we are now filing this with BBB.Business Response
