If your warranty provider tries to schedule the diagnosis or repair appointment with Active appliance ask to find another vendor. This company is a complete mess. First appointment was schedule thru my warranty department online for the next day. Technician came out and sat on facetime with his boss or maybe senior technician trying to figure out the problem. Nothing was completed. That evening the same issue happened. My warranty department made a follow up appointment for tomorrow between 8-12pm to have them come back and try to fix it. Active appliance called me directly and told me no they have to cancel and book me for an entire week out. They say to work directly with our warranty department (per their stock responses to all the complaints below) but when we do they interject and changes things on there own. I've asked for active appliance to be completely removed as an option for all of the appliances we have under warranty. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

The work order in question was sent to Active Appliances by ****************** We are a third party provider. When an insurance company sends us to the customers home, we are required to diagnose the problem and then notify the insurance company about our findings. All of these findings are documented with photographs and are on the report to the insurance company. The insurance company will then determine if the repairs are authorized. It is the insurance companys prerogative to either authorize the repairs or deny them. In this case, the work order was not approved. If the customer has any questions or concerns, he should contact the insurance company.

This company is an absolute nightmare when it comes to repairs. My warranty company, AHS, assigned them to fix my ice maker. The technician came, took it apart, and told me to throw it away because it was completely broken. He explicitly said to keep only the wires and screws. Following his instructions, I did just that. Later, *** reassigned a new contractor to rediagnose the problem, but by then I didn't have the ice maker since I WAS TOLD to throw it away. When I called the company to make sure their technician would mention in his report that he told me to discard the ice maker, I was met with the rudest customer service **** ******** The moment he heard what happened and realized the technician made me throw away the ice maker, he refused to listen further, insisted the case was closed, and essentially hung up on me. I only wanted the report to reflect what their technician said, but they refused to take responsibility and wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor. Apparently, the case is closed. You can amend the Constitution, but you can't amend their idiotic report. If you call and ******* answers, hang up immediately. He is rude, unprofessional, and utterly unhelpful even when it comes to scheduling. DO NOT USE this business. They are the absolute worst I've ever dealt with.

**Review for Active Appliance and Fidelity Home Warranty****Rating: 0/5**I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Active Appliance and Fidelity ********************** both of which proved to be unreliable and dishonest. Our microwave's start button stopped working, and after paying the $85 service fee, Fidelity Home Warranty sent a technician from Active Appliance to address the issue.Upon arrival, the technician noted that the microwave was 10 years old and explained that the problem was due to normal wear and tearthe hook on the latch wasn't connecting, preventing the start button from functioning. He assured me that this was a straightforward fix, requiring just a week to order and receive the necessary parts. However, I was shocked to receive a call from Fidelity Home Warranty informing me that my claim had been denied. According to them, the technician reported that the issue was due to "excessive wear and tear." This was completely contrary to what he had told me in person, where he stated it was a normal issue for a microwave of this age and assured me it would be covered. This blatant contradiction leads me to believe that Active Appliance and Fidelity Home Warranty are colluding to deceive their customers. They take your money under the pretense of providing a service but fail to follow through on their commitments. Their actions are nothing short of fraudulent.I strongly advise against using Active Appliance or Fidelity Home Warranty. They will take your money and leave you without the repairs or services you paid for. Save yourself the frustration and seek out more reputable companies that stand by their promises and respect their customers.

Horrible company. My home warranty company sent them, otherwise would never have used them given all the bad reviews! They are terrible. The ice maker on my refrigerator door isn't dispensing ice. They came out and the technician said there was a ripped wire in the door. I asked how that could have happened, and he told me poor construction. However, he apparently told my home warranty company that it ripped due to the door being overloaded and normal wear and tear! And now the home warranty company won't cover it! The door has 2 tiny shelves on it and barely anything in them. There is no possible way it was overloaded. And why did he tell me and the home warranty company something different?? Probably because they hope I'll just pay them directly to fix it and they'll get more from me than they would from the home warranty company who they have contracted rates with. No wonder 750 1 and 1/2 star reviews on ****** and about **** 1 and 1/2 star reviews on Yelp!

My experience with Active Appliances **** was incredibly frustrating. On August 22, 2023, their technician visited to fix our refrigerator. Before diagnosing the issue, we were asked to sign a waiver, absolving them of any responsibility, including food spoilage. The technician hastily concluded that the coils and fuse were faulty, despite not examining the refrigerator's back. After a two-week wait for parts, a follow-up visit revealed they were fine, and the issue might be the "fan."This misdiagnosis led to almost a month without a functioning refrigerator, and food spoilage. Finally, on September 14, 2023, the technician returned and repaired the fridge in 30 minutes. While I understand that we signed a waiver regarding food spoilage, it is disheartening that Active Appliances ****'s representative was so careless with their diagnosis and repair process.Considering the level of frustration and inconvenience that Active Appliances **** has caused us, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this company to anyone. Customers deserve transparency, professionalism, and accurate diagnosis and repairs when they seek service, and unfortunately, Active Appliances **** has fallen short on all fronts in this instance.

This is by far the worst "company" i have ever dealt with. I could write a book about their incompetence, attitude and flat out lying but i no longer have the time or energy. So here are the bullet points. - They are FLAT OUT SCAM ARTISTS who deserved to be fully investigated over their business practices and lack thereof. - they came out multiple times never once bringing TOOLS or PARTS! - they simply look at the product and leave. - they LIE to their customers - more than once telling me straight to my face that they have replaced something when they never showed up with the parts and i watched them the entire time. - they send people with horrible attitudes who don't know how to fix the product they are assigned to fix - in my case at least once could have resulted in a gas explosion and they didn't care, ignored the issue, closed the ticket and moved on. - i chased them for 7 weeks on a $79 STOCK part with no resolution. (i later called another appliance company that came out with the part in hand and fixed it the same day) - they dont answer their phones and they turn their phones off during business hours. - i drove past their office and stopped in to see if i could pick up the parts myself somewhere, they answered the door, someone answered and told me to go around to the back entrance and then LOCKED me out DURING BUSINESS HOURS. - they NEVER turn their reports in on time. they are supposed to be done the same day and often times it takes 2 weeks. There are also no parts and no follow up noted on their forms - leaving them room to adjust as needed when they send back to the home warranty service for a "claim." - if you ask them for copies of the forms they REFUSE to share them with you. It is no wonder they are not BBB accredited. "Better" and "Business" are 2 words these people have no concept of. Complete joke from start to finish and a total waste of time. If your home warranty uses them just quit as they are complicit! AVOID THE *****

The company collected $75.00 for a service call through my home repairs ins. and they did not provide the service! I was given an appointment for Oct 10 "between 8:00am and noon". I took time off from work and was at home when at 11:00 I got a text saying "sorry we missed you, call to reschedule your appt" When I called the co. they told me "the tech was there but you live in a gated community so they could not get in" I told them "how come they text me to tell me I missed the appt, and they did not call/text me to say "we are at the gate how do we get in?"' I had told the *** to have the tech call me when they arrived - but instead they just turned around and left! When I called to tell them I was at home and had been at home all morning, they told me that the tech had other appts and would not come back so I had to reschedule my appt! I have been waiting for almost a month now for the repairs, they play the same tune when they insisted that I had to have a "virtual visit" before anyone would come to the house - i had to reschedule those appointments as well, because they gave me the same excuse " we called you but you did not answer" - I told them I had records on my phone and proof they had never called me when they say they did - but to no avail - I had to reschedule the virtual visits, and now they are playing the same game with the repairs. This company should not be in business - scammers! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Active Appliances, Inc. do not collect service calls. The $75.00 is a deductible that the insurance company collects directly.
We do not get paid for empty trips. The servicer has absolutely no reason to waste his time and car gas just to mark an appointment as missed. Before scheduling an appointment, the customer service representative asked the customer if she lives in the gated community. It is the customer's responsibility to give any relevant information for the servicer to be able to get to the place of the appointment.
Active Appliances, Inc. offering virtual diagnostics to expedite repairs. It is not a call to the customer. The link is sent to the customer via text message and it is up to the customer to connect with the servicer by accepting the link. Everything is explained in detail when video diagnostics is offered. Our servicer sent the link 3 times on 9/22 to the phone number that was provided. Customer never connected.
As of now, the in-home appointment is scheduled for 10/14 between 8am-12pm.

This is ludicrous! when I contacted the company and tried to give them information about the gate and how to access it I was told "the technician will call you and you can tell him the details" Since the calls claimed to be recorded - the company can check the communication I had with the rep. taking the call. In addition -when I had the virtual visit I WAS NOT TOLD/explained anything other than "someone will call you to schedule the repair visit" The company arbitrarily rescheduled an appointment without giving me an option re: best date/time FOR ME - THE CUSTOMER! BTW -I have on record (on my cell phone) that I received a text saying, "the technician is on his way" - the next text is "sorry we missed you -call at (###) to reschedule your appt" If the technician was at the gate - why didn't he text me asking me how to get in? I called the company as soon as I got the "sorry we missed you" and was told by "Angelica", sorry the techs left, and they have other appts. so they will not go back to your house". I requested to talk to a manager/owner - never got a call from anybody. I will be at home (again) tomorrow 10/14 all morning - and I'll see if the company really come to provide the service or find more excuses not to finish the job. IF the manager had called me, I would have not resort to the BBB to place a complaint - again. poor service all around, from the management on down.

HOW are they in business?? Scam company. They told me my compressor was bad on my refrigerator, so the tech came (2 months later!!) and did NOT replace the compressor. But the company said he did??? I HAVE IT ON VIDEO LOL it's been almost 3 months without a working refrigerator and dealing with this company has to be the worst business experience of my life. All of their customer service reps have no idea what's going on, refuse to give out their manager or supervisors names (Anthony - I'm talking to you 😡), and play games. They get paid by insurance companies and home warranty companies and never get the job done. Do NOT USE THEM

Active Appliances, Inc. does not produce parts. After the diagnostics was performed, the servicer researched the part. The part information was relayed to your insurance company. The insurance company is the ones who ordered the parts. Active Appliances, Inc. has no control of how long it takes to receive parts nor what is sent.
As of now the appointment is scheduled for August 31 to determine what is wrong with the appliance now.

Nice try, he HAD THE COMPRESSOR WITH HIM but did not replace it. You guys are a legit scam business. You have known for almost 3 months what is wrong with my fridge and have STILL not fixed it. Hopefully the tech actually comes tomorrow and fixes it FOR REAL this time. But let me ask you this...how does a REPAIR company not produce parts? Not that that part matters, because the part WAS PRODUCED and the tech did NOT replace or repair the compressor as promised; but the report said he did. And once again, I HAVE IT ON VIDEO that it was not done.

At the time of the appointment, the servicer notifies the customer the access needs to be provided. The customer refuse to provide access. We do not provide access if extenuating circumstances exist.

A handyman WAS hired at my expense to provide full access to the dishwasher. Requiring the wood flooring to be removed. Photos of this access were sent, twice, to this business, but this business expected me (a senior citizen) to further remove, completely, my dishwasher out away from the wall and then take even more photos, of the back of the dishwasher (!) even though the photos i had already sent demonstrated that the dishwasher we totally accessible. I asked to speak with the manager but they refused to speak with me. Business is not being honest when they say, "customer refuse to provide access", I DID provide access AND sent photos proving that fact.
