1 starI financed my first vehicle at ************ and got ripped off. It is a used ***** Civic 2019. The salesperson ****** and the finance guy **** ********** both are unethical. They added a total fee of $3,785 (ELP GPS $940, surface protection $995, Fidelity warranty services $1850) of additional services/extended warranty without my knowledge. When I questioned **** about these charges, he falsely claimed that these add-ons were mandatory and a part of the dealerships policy. This is completely untrue. Its clear their practices are designed to mislead and exploit customers, especially first-time buyers like myself. They like to scam people and take their hardworking money. I advise potential customers in the *************************** to avoid this dealership and instead take their business to a more trustworthy and transparent location. The sales manager should see how these salespersons are conducting business with pure lies. I will ask for a refund for the extra services they added and file a complaint with the ************************ to take action against the dealership. If they refuse to redund, then I will pay the restocking fee and return the car. Also, ****** kept one of the car keys as I did not have the car title on me, which I traded in, but I did sign the bill of sale, which should be enough. Very bad experience as a first-time buyer.Review fromDavyd T

1 starBUYER BEWARE!Recently purchased an electric vehicle from the dealership. We flew out to look at it and purchase in person. We were assured that the shipping would be paid for, and arrive in good condition. They made us write a 5-star review while we were in the office - hadnt even paid for the car yet. Since purchasing the vehicle, weve had nothing but issues. First, the shipment information was not correct. The barge number was not the correct one that it was actually shipped on, so tracking was a pain. The dealership claimed to have tried to contact us multiple times about the car arriving in port - this was false. Second, the cost of shipping was NOT paid for and we had to pay at the dock to release the car. Third, the car arrived dead. Even the 12V was dead. Electric vehicles lose about 3% energy a month, which means the car was loaded on the barge with less than 10% charged. This forced us to pay for a special tow truck to pick it up, as we couldnt even get it in neutral. The dealership sold us a $6k insurance policy that covers dead batteries, however after contacting the insurance company and inquiring about this, they said they dont cover battery replacements and new ones cost $40k. When we tried contacting the dealership for assistance, and they kept saying our dealer was out of office or sent us directly to voicemail. We are extremely angry and disappointed with this dealership.Review fromRobert T

1 starI walked out of this dealer with a new car with $4,000 in options that I didn't want and would never have ordered had it been fairly explained to me. The dealer would probably call this salesmanship. I call it subterfuge. It all starts with their website. I chose Van Nuys Kia because of their large inventory, the prices, and they had cars in stock in the color I was looking for. As it turns out, you can't buy a car at the price listed on their website. And I'm not talking about tax and license, which everyone knows are add-ons to the price. I'm talking about dealer-installed options, which they add to every car. This is purposely deceptive. I would not have gone there had I known that I didn't have a prayer of buying a car at the listed price. The dealer would say that it is covered by a disclosure in their dealer notes on the website, which states "all pricing and advertised prices for any/all vehicles offered for sale does not include dealer installed accessories which can be purchased for an additional cost". That still makes it sound that they're optional ("CAN be purchased"). The language is purposely deceptive. And notice how they refer to them as "accessories" rather than options. I think of accessories as roof racks, floor mats and cup holders, not paint protection plans and theft recovery assistance.During negotiations, the sales manager never showed me a breakout of sales price, options and trade-in value, but insisted on negotiating a single number, the net of total price less trade in. That's deceptive. Not surprisingly, the dealer add-ons are all high profit items.A significant share of the blame for this deal rests with me. I shook hands on the deal. I should have been more observant, more skeptical, and demanded more information all along the way. I hope if you're considering purchasing a car you'll steer clear of this place.Review fromSUSAN R

2 starsI have had mixed experiences with this service department. The early contacts for routine service were adequate, though it has always been difficult to get through to an agent. However, my recent experience has been most frustrating. I have a 2019 KIA **** EV. In December, 2023, when the heating system began to behave erratically, I took it in for evaluation. That took two weeks and only after numerous calls was I told that it needed a new heater core and that the part was currently unavailable. After repeated attempts to determine when the replacement part would be available, I finally was able to bring it back in on Feb 26th, 2024. I was told the job would take 2-3 days. Again I waited and there was no communication. My repeated calls met with long wait times. I left messages which were never responded to. The work was finally completed on March 18. However the problems with the heating system are not fully resolved and I have again been unable to get through to anyone to discuss this. Phone wait times are often ***** minutes. It's pretty disgraceful "service". I have emailed the service manager, and not gotten a response.Review fromYvette T

1 starLied about used car price. Online it says $20,000 When four of us went there on 03-23-24 they gave us a price of $19,999 out the door not including tax and license. Car had scratches and emergency tire was missing. We said we would be back in 4 days with cash. When we came back 4 days later, they said they car was now $29,000 because it had some upgrades. Sales person was ****. General Manager is ******.Review fromMike L

1 starI, a senior citizen, recently had a 30K service for my 2019 Kia Stinger at this dealership. The cost was twice that of Gelndale and over three times as much as Simi Valley. I spoke with Angeline, the DIrector of Client Relations and was offered no credit or adjustment. I then asked to connect with the service manager and -no repsonse. Frustrated and left taken advantage of.Review fromAshley S

Biggest rip-off yet! We drove not even 3 miles and several lights turned on. meanwhile, they signed off on paperwork that the car was serviced and is free of any damages/repairs. Now, we can't get anybody to contact us back to handle the situation accordingly. We definitely feel as if they were aware of the damages and chose not to fix them.Van Nuys Kia
