Our store received a package of items from this company under false pretenses. Invoice date Oct 1, 2024. This company solicited one of our employees inquiring how some drill bits were that he previously purchased. He informed them that a few had broken. The *** stated there was a lifetime warranty on them and would send new ones For Free to ***lace those. The *** also said he would throw in a box of gloves to TRY. We then received an invoice for a new drill bit set and 12 boxes of gloves that they had sent ($892.54). We have ***eatedly asked for their mailing address to send these items back and they will not supply that or a RA# that they say they have to have in order to accept deliveries at their facility. Instead of resolving this situation they have used the many tactics I now see on here - stating they have voice recordings, threatening collection agency etc. All we want to do is return these unwanted items. Invoice has not been paid to date as we just want to send the products back and move on from dealing with this company. They have stopped responding to my emails and randomly call or email my accounting department with the last one stating they have contacted a Collections Law Firm.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Read the original complaint - these items were not requested and were sent to us under false pretenses. Warranty items are not sent at a cost - I deal with warranties daily. Also, telling someone you are sending a box of gloves to try - then sending multiple boxes at a charge is deceptive. ***** is not the service manager; I am and I ask once again for the products to be sent back and move on from this.

I am rejecting this response because:I am not sure why your company likes to drag this out. You could've had your merchandise back already and moved on from this. There is nothing attached for me to see. I do not want my contact information added - we want removed from your system entirely. ***** has been out for personal reasons at the time of receipt of merchandise - once he returned he contacted your company and been given the same runaround you are doing here. You offered the discount - he NEVER agreed to it. Is your product as bad as your customer service and you don't even want it back? That is how this comes across. Send return information so we can both part ways to never have dealings again.

This company is predatory in nature. If they call you, hang up on them immediately. They will send you a "trial" product and you will never be able to return it. They talk about how these tools are worth so much money and you will get them for "free" and you only pay if you like the product. The prices are 3-4 times what you pay online at other merchants. The invoice will arrive 2-3 weeks after you have already received the products and at that point you are past the 30 day return window. They don't tell you that you only have 30 days to return the product. They just say test them out for 30 days. If you call to make a complaint before the 30 days, they will take 17 days to respond so that you are past the return window. They will absolutely refuse to take the product back and will threaten to send you to collections if you don't pay. Then they will offer to reduce the bill in order to settle the matter.Customer Answer

December 2023, We received a package from American Industrial Source, I have personally not dealt with them in the past but my co-worker did. Long story short they had our credit card number and kept sending overpriced items to us and charging the credit card. We for some reason (and because *** knows how to play the system) were unable to cancel the charges. Anyways our credit card expired and they didn't have any way to get money from us but they still sent us a box of stuff. They sent us a bill for the December box (THAT WE DID NOT ORDER). They also sent it so it would arrive after the return window was closed. I called in several times to get a return slip and they said they would contact me but never did. April 10, 2024 they finally contacted but it was to demand payment. They said they would contact claims if we did not pay the bill. As I'm reading other complaints they are all very similar to what happened to us and what we are now dealing with. They are a fraud company.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I have many Reasons but the Biggest one is I want others to be aware of this company. Please do not stay in contact and try to end it with them ASAP. If they have your card they will keep sending items you did not order and then they will say they have "proof" of someone ordering. As long as they stop contacting us this matter will be resolved.

I am seeing this is a common complaint about this company. They sent us air hoses "Free of charge" just to test out. We didn't request them, still haven't even used them. They sent a $300 dollar bill for these lack-luster hoses, and we have done everything we can to get them to take them back. They do nothing more then say lines like "We don't work for free" and "We just want to get the bill sorted out". We have had no luck contacting them through email on their website, and we get calls from different numbers all trying to collect on the hoses that we don't want, didn't ask for, and haven't used. When we try to return them, it is nothing but a long run around before they hang up. This has been going on for 2 weeks now.Business Response

My business was reached out to by ******************* about some "really great Continental Contitech air hoses" he wanted us to try for free for 30 days with ZERO OBLIGATION. After receiving the 4 hoses in early February and realizing they wouldn't work for our particular business, we reached out to **** (at the ****** Voice number he provided) to ask about returning them. **** insisted that we keep them for the full 30 days (most likely in order to run out the clock on the return window), and to call him when the 30 days had passed and he'd provide the return address. During that time, received an invoice from AIS on 2/12/24 in the amount of $481.34, which is something that was never mentioned during the initial phone call from ****. We've attempted to call the company numerous times, and not one of those calls were returned. They would not forward me to anyone at the company, and as the number on the invoice is ONLY an answering service, they did not have a return address to provide. I am rejecting this response because: ******* did not have the authorization from ************* Sports to order the hoses, and then when he called to return them, ******************* did everything he could to convince him to keep them for the full 30 days, which effectively made the 30-day return policy worthless. Do you have a record of that call between ******* and ****, in which **** wouldnt provide the companys return information within that 30-day period? Additionally, these hoses were presented to us as hoses used by ******, when a quick ****** search shows that the very same hoses can be purchased at many stores for about $40 each. All in all, this is a very unprofessional, dishonest company that employs unethical business practices.
