    I purchased a tour from wearebamboo.com with a **** of america vc on 2/27/19 for $500.00 and Citi**** on 1/3/20 of $1795.00 for a trip on 9/2020. The trip was cancelled due to covid 3x and then last rescheduled for 9/2/23. I received an email in August 3, 2022 indicating my tour date I had chosen for 2022 had been postponed. I had 3 options; 1. choose a preferred month of travel into the future 2. Keep it but understand you're on a priority list *** not happen 3. Put it on hold and that my booking is safe and secure and is valid indefinitely. This is a bamboo guarantee. I booked for 9/2/23 and received a notice 9/2/22 saying I had a balance due by 4/6/23. On 10/31/22 I receive a business that the company is closing down. There will be no refund. I have checked with **** of america and citi**** for a chargeback since I did not and will not get the tour I paid for.I was declined by both ****s. I was told the dispute needed to be within ***** days of the purchase date for a chargeback. I had no dispute at that time as I expected to travel on the tour I paid for and didn't know there would be no tour as of 10/31/22. I assumed the company, with all the prepaid tours would have set the money aside until the tour date occurred due to covid. I have found out there is a support group of over **** people that have prepaid as I have are out of the money they paid. A few ****s ie pay pal have refunded some of the customers back. Unfortunately, this is not in my case. The company is still continuing tours through the end of 12/22. Another contact number I found is 642-132-8400.
