I have fought for months for someone at the Oxnard office to return my call for a follow up appointment with my doctor, prescription refill or a physical therapy appointment. No one returns calls. Several times I have called the office manager to step in and get employees to follow up. This is not patient care.

I was charged $10 extra for my physical therapy copay at the time of my visit (4 months ago). After my insurance processed their claim, a month later, I called the Ventura Orthopedic Physical Therapy office and spoke with their billing department about the fact that they charged me $10 extra for my visit. I was told that they don't have access to their billing system, but they took my name and info and they were going to process it as soon as they were able to regain access to their billing system. Three calls to their billing department, and four months later, and my $10 still not refunded. It is not about the dollar amount, which is small, it is about being unethical. They have two ladies who handle their billing, and neither one of them answers their phone, but have a VM directing the caller to the other one. I had multiple follow-up appointments scheduled with them that I cancelled them due to this bad experience. I would like for other patients to know about my experience, and for Ventura Orthopedics group to understand that being unethical ends up costing them more business, therefore keeping $10 they did not earn costs them much more $$ they could have earned. It really doesn't pay to be unethical.
