I purchased a 2015 Volkswagon Jetta from Gold Coast Acura on February 8th, for $12,875.00 including taxes and fees. I put a $2,000 down payment on the car. The car had roughly 131,000 miles on it. The car was held for repairs at the dealership until February 18th -- they replaced a clock spring and did a review of the car. I drove the vehicle less than 150 miles in two weeks. On the morning of March 5th, the check engine light came on, the battery light came on, the car wouldn't start, and the lights on the dashboard were flickering wildly. There's no way that the dealer should have sold this car in good faith to a customer. I'm now responsible for nearly $11,000 in repayment for a vehicle I will not be able to use. This is completely unacceptable and possibly criminal. I have attached my purchase receipt and my text conversation with Jeanette Castanon, Product Specialist at Gold Coast Acura.

On Friday March 4th, 2022 Timothy called **** our Sales Manager to apologize for the complaint because it was just a dead battery.

I am rejecting this response because: I would like to have the battery replaced at no charge by the dealership. The AAA technician who looked at my battery provided me with a reading that said the battery had low power/is not holding a charge and that it was installed 11/2018, based on a sticker on the battery. The car also smells like it is burning oil, which is troublesome -- I'm trying to find an independent mechanic to take a look. I was promised that the vehicle was looked over before I purchased it. I don't see how I could have been given this battery in good faith, which makes me doubt my safety in the vehicle/that the vehicle was actually inspected before I purchased it.
