      I have an auto loan with mechanics bank company and have always had a good payment record. Recently I called to ask for assistance because I'm not working, don't qualify for FMLA, however my husband gets unemployment and if there was any assistance I could get with my payments, a deferment, or any of the late fees to be removed? I was informed no one can help me! I asked for help/money from family and managed to pay the $650 which was my monthly payment plus the late fee of $108! I noticed even after the payment posted online still shows $108.10 late. I called back spoke with a very rude agent named ***** at 2:15pm mst today. Despite me asking ***** why is my account still showing past due and expecting an answer, she stated, 'If you were to schedule a payment with me I can then send a request to whomever about why your still showing late.' Absolutely not! I asked for a manager and she asked me why, over talked me, then told me it's gonna take a long time and I better call back later ALL BEFORE SHE EVEN ATTEMPTED TO GET A MANAGER. So she could predict my wait time but not apply my fees to reflect current in my account? This company has shown time and time again it does not care for it's clients, it doesn't hire empathetic associates, and mechanic bank will gladly take your money and neglect to apply allocated funds to appropriate locations.       I signed up for auto draw payments in 2021. Apparently, the auto draw was not processed for the very last payment because the dollar amount was slightly different ($0.85 higher) of the regular monthly draw amount. Approx a monthly later, I received a collection letter, called and paid immediately. My credit score dropped SIGNIFICANTLY due to the late payment. I contacted the company and requested they retract the info sent to the credit bureaus, as I had not requested the auto draw payment agreement to cease and they should have drawn the final amount. Also, please note, the online portal says "Your account is enrolled in recurring payments" on the main screen. The representative refused and said I "should track my finances better". The company expects me to contact all three credit bureaus to resolve, which is time consuming and I should be compensated for my time. Horrible service. I'm contacting FTC, as I believe this is a violation of FDCPA.

      Financed a car through this bank since then I have been completely disrespected and hung up on by employees. I believe they are taking advantage of individuals through online payments to get more money and I have also had my information given to multiple third parties for reasons I do not know. Had to have my number taken off the website to stop mechanics bank from spam calling me. In one day I received more than 20 calls from the bank followed by other sketchy numbers that do not allow you to call them back.

      I am writing to seek your assistance in resolving a serious issue with Mechanics Auto Finance, which has resulted in unfair credit reporting and financial distress. The details of the account in question are as follows:Original Loan Amount: $40,000 Total Payments Made Over: $60,000 Auction Profit Over: $20,000 Reported Charge-Off/Written-Off: $11,847 Total Profit for Mechanics Auto Finance: Over $90,000 Despite my substantial payments and their considerable profit from the auction and write-off, Mechanics Auto Finance continues to report a charge-off amount, which has negatively impacted my credit score. This has unjustly affected my ability to secure loans and credit, hindering my financial recovery and stability.Given the total profit exceeding $90,000, which is more than double the value of the vehicle, I request the BBBs intervention to have this account removed from all credit reporting bureaus. This action is necessary to correct my financial records and prevent further harm.I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution that includes the deletion of this account from all credit reports!

      I recently applied for a loan but was denied because of the false report on my credit from this bank. The vehicle was sold to a dealership and they did the transfer as well as the funds. We were assured that all was settled! Come to find out that they had reported on my credit,we never got any correspondence from them about any amounts outstanding! I tried calling but they were not helpful at all which is why I have contacted a lawyer. Mechanics Bank is one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had!

      I am writing to file a formal complaint against Mechanics Bank ******************** regarding a troubling issue with my recent auto loan payment. On March 15, 2024, I made a payment of $479.75 to Mechanics Bank ********************. However, on March 23, 2024, I received a letter in the mail claiming that my payment had been reversed.Concerned about this discrepancy, I immediately contacted my bank to investigate. Upon review, my bank confirmed that the payment was indeed processed and not reversed. I provided the necessary documentation, including my bank statement, clearly indicating that the payment was successfully transferred to Mechanics Bank ******************** on March 15, 2024.Despite presenting incontrovertible evidence of the payment, I was met with resistance from Mechanics Bank ******************** representatives. They insisted that the payment had been reversed, despite the documentation provided. This refusal to acknowledge the payment is deeply troubling and unacceptable.This is not an isolated incident, and I am deeply worried about the potential consequences for my credit score. Despite my efforts to maintain a good credit history, I am now being threatened with credit damage due to an error on Mechanics Bank ********************s part.Furthermore, I am concerned that my payment may have been improperly allocated to a future date without my consent. I am not willing to make a double payment without first resolving this matter and ensuring that my previous payment is either refunded or properly accounted for.I respectfully request that the Better Business Bureau investigate this matter promptly and thoroughly. I expect Mechanics Bank ******************** to provide a detailed explanation for the alleged payment reversal and to rectify the error without further delay. Additionally, I demand assurance that my credit will not be negatively impacted as a result of this dispute.

      I have contacted you numerous times attempting to get this resolved and your staff has been rude/unhelpful this payment was made as my bank personal has stated to yours and previously it was stated that 5/15 would be my next payment not 4/15 but on 3/20 I received a letter from mechanics stating they moved my payment to 4/15 because I did not pay it according to them when this payment was indeed made and confirmed by my bank please fix this
