I worked for 17 years with the retail clerks, all 17 years vested. I received an annual notice that they were in "critical and endangered status" which means they don't have the funds to pay their retirees. My 17 years vested, should have been in the $1400-$1600 per month range that was promised to me for being a member of this union for my retirement. It's been reduced to just $246.45 per month. They lost my retirement from poor investments. This should be criminal.

My medical benefits and etc. when retired handled through this service and now requesting a form notarized which we sent to them but say they did not get it need it still, believe was 3 pages roughly, and they just called said they review issue but instead sent me a notice of termination because we not done what we thought we did. I am 86 had mini brain strokes after lost my younger son, so very limited and require two family members to help ******* and ***, brother and sister. We obviously sent in form as told them when they called we returned copies of what we had and requested to know if one page, or what exactly are they saying we did not completer or they did not get but no idea what that is since forms came in mail from them, they just say its incomplete, when we just talked said if missing forms let me know or mail them we do it again. Problem is were both disabled and they just do not seem to be clear of what else is needed, but there would not be a notary stamp on form if we did not try to do or did what we thought they wanted, so please just send clear message as cannot afford to loose my benefits of office mistake which this is once again an attempt to see what that is since they never called and noted it by phone as of yet only letters and when we called back same day little later got no answer or response, or know for sure which person to ask for as phone systems can get confusing, auto ones for us anyways. PAGE 1,2,3,4,5,6? ALL WHAT DO YOU WANT? iF WE CAN HOPE TO FIND OUT GET THIS DONE ASAP, NEXT WEEK, BUT IN CASE WE NEED TO UPDATE COUNSEL OF CORRECT FORM, WILL FAX WHAT WE HAVE AGAIN AND MAIL REST. NEED TO HAVE TIME BE SURE OF THERE NEEDS.

In 2020 my wife was struck and killed by a motor vehicle while crossing the street to get our son's dinner at ********** Shortly afterwards I received a notice from the *** advising me that I was eligible to request survivor benefits through my wife's union's pension plan with UFCW-******************* Food Employers Joint Individual Account Trust (Documents Provided) After notifying Ufcw Trust, Plan Administrator I received a claim form in the mail it required me to provide Notarized copy's of my wife's Death Certificate, as well as our Marriage Certificate and my Birth Certificate which I provided, (Note) Now I'm a 57 yrs old and I'm disabled living on a fixed income...After spending $250.00 dollars on obtaining these documents and having them Notarized I was required to have everything they requested mailed back within 90 days or the claim would be null and void and I'd have to re-apply. Well 45 days had passed since I mailed the forms back so I reached out to them on the status of my claim and there response was they had the claim forms but somehow misplaced the Death, Marriage, and Birth Certificates!! At this point a Gentleman named ***************** with the ********** of ***** became my advocate and we've had a few three way conference's with Ufcw Trust's benefits claims ***** long story short with all there delays and slow playing and miss handling of my benefits claim the 90 day period had deemed my claim Null and Void...what crap! They told me I'd have to re-apply so I did and here I sit still waiting for some kind of reply from them now It's been 2 years I've been dealing with their ******** claiming to have lost documents taking weeks with no information their incompetence with mishandling of my benefits claim is pathetic there probably hoping I'll die before they payout for my claim!!! My wife worked for their union and this is how they treat her memory... Bastards!!!
