    The responsible parties (Calmont General Enginering, *********************************, *******************************, and **************************** ******) damaged a vehicle while operating their business. The responsible parties have refused to refund payment for vehicle repairs even though they are on record agreeing to a settlement. The damage they inflicted occurred on May 8, 2024 and a final, official police report is appended to this message. The police report imputes responsibility on Calmont Engineering and they have admitted responsibility. Efforts by insurance to contact them after being served with a final invoice have been fruitless. A final invoice and photos from the scene are attached. The responsible parties are apparently operating their business without vehicle insurance coverage or appropriate general liability insurance.     This letter is in response to your letter dated June 10, 2024, regarding complaint #*******. This is a matter that has been forwarded and is being handled by our automobile insurance company.  The complainant was never a customer of ours and was an individual who was involved in an automobile accident.  We have been instructed by the insurance company to leave all contact with the complainant to them.  If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me at ************

    The victim is REJECTING this response because the Business has failed to address any concerns. Calmont General Engineering, its owners, and employees (collectively, the "Responsible Parties") have failed to fulfill payment of the damage that their vehicle caused in spite of representations made to the victim and the victim's insurance.  A sample of the correspondence is attached, showing text messages between the Business's employee and the victim affirming to payment of the damage.  The Responsible Parties have all failed to be communicative despite repeated efforts by numerous entities. 


    After agreeing to the invoice for the damage Calmont Engineering's vehicle caused, the Responsible Parties absconded.  There has been no effort on the part of the Responsible Parties to fulfill their promise to pay.  The Responsible Parties admitted fault to victim's insurance and the police report did the same under California Code CVC *****, which mandates that drivers maintain a prudent and reasonable distance from the vehicle in front to prevent rear-end collisions.  Pursuant to California Code CVC *****, in rear-end collisions, the rear driver is automatically at fault.  The victim has made every effort to resolve this issue amicably and with reasonableness but has faced a complete lack of cooperation from the ****************************************************** mentions that they have automobile insurance but this is false.  Pursuant to California Vehicle Code VC *****, it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle without evidence of insurance.  The Responsible Parties do not have automobile insurance for the vehicle that caused damage and this has been confirmed by authorities.  The victim seeks IMMEDIATE full settlement of the amount to avoid further litigation.
