    My fianc bought me an opal engagement ring from AOD the opal started flaking away shortly after the warranty expired. I wish I could share the photos I took with a macro lens of just how thin the slice of opal is, less than 1mm. My local jeweler said a was shocked to see a doublet that thin. I reached out to their customer service and they blamed me, although I have many other pieces of opal jewelry that have been in my care for years and arent flaking away, they said I must have mistreated it. However, they did offer to in good faith have me ship it back and evaluate for repair and let me know the associated cost. Im not in a position to give them more than we already did. My partner spent almost 2 months of mortgage payments on the ring - it didnt last 4 months. Dont bother, please.

    I purchased an Opal heart necklace for my wife in December of 2021. She liked the necklace; however, the chain was not long enough for her liking. Because of this, she wore it two or three times before she stored it. Around Halloween in 2022, I purchased a longer chain for her to use. She pulled out the Opal necklace and wore it again. On the second or third time, she showed me that pieces of the Opal had fallen out. I tried to email the company with no response. There is no reason that the necklace should have fallen apart from normal wearing at all let alone just after a year even though it had only been worn 5-6 times. The pieces look good, but seem to be made poorly given our experience. There does not appear to be any customer service beyond submitting to purchase something as the only email address on their website failed. The support email did not fail nor did what should have been the same email address located on their website that I used from one of their marketing emails. There was no response from either attempt to contact them.
