      ***********************, owner of Rivers2Reefs Tropical Fish on 7/24/23 (Invoice can be presented by request) offered to build us a Pheasant enclosure for the total of $800 (materials + labor included). Promissed target date was : 3-4 weeks from 7/24/23.As of today 2/14/24 the enclosure stands still unfinished with doors not closing roof half completed and cracks in ************ and wire fencing partially applied. ***** has used every excuse possible and asked for $60 addiional to place a separator door in the middle of the enclosure. I asked him to use the additional $75 that I paid him for a female pheasant that he never delivered. Since then all communication has stopped and he abandoned the project. Estimates to complete the project is around $300 and I would like BBB to help me ask for compensation from this company. Thank you, VA

      I installed his enclosure when I could I can't install enclosures in the rain , then he was out of town for weeks , I told von from day 1 I had many other jobs going and only charged him ****** labor , I told him I would work on it when I could I put ***** extra out of pocket because he wanted extra work done on the enclosure , I talked to him and told him I had already lost ****** on labor more then the ****** he paid me , I explained to him also the doors wouldn't close because the wood was swelling because the rain , last communication I had from him was a text from him , saying he wasn't going to pay me the ***** and to just forget about the female pheasant and we would stop our working relations and he'd finish the job , I agreed and we haven't spoken since then ,

      My complaints are following in their priority:

      1. promissed job was not completed

      2. promissed dates were not met and we waited 6 months

      3. builders hired were unqualified and ***** was not present to monitor and suprvised, ***** he paid for labor but materials were put together quick and unprofessionaly

      3. middle door was extra for which ***** asked for $60 and knowing that $75 I paid for pheasant I ll never see I gave up to accomodate (paying $15 extra)

      4. ***** promissed to build the middle door and deliver it (I have it writing) - never heard back nor made any attempts for doing that

      5. ***** promissed to adjust doors and cover the cracks, - no attempts were made

      6. Enclosure as it is now is useless and unusable, costs to finish the job is estimated at $300

      7. I expect the job to be completed or $300 compensated which includes middle door that I paid $75 instead of $60

      I was present every time but 1 time. We built 90 percent of the enclosure at my shop , von asked for more work to be done aka middle door that would separate the pheasants but I was not paid for any extra labor,  the enclosure as ordered is fully installed , the only thing I did not install us the middle separation door  , witch I paid out of pocket over ****** on materials , I'm not in business to loose money and I lost over ****** on labor alone and ****** on extra materials von also texted me that we would just call it a wash and he wouldn't owe me any money , if he wants the separation door I will drop it off but I will not install it

      -Why you no longer consider your complaint resolved - THE EXTRA DOOR THAT WAS LAST PROMISED (2MOS AGO) WAS NEVER DELIVERED

      -Why you are rejecting the business' response - THERE WAS NO TIMELINE SET AND I FEEL 2 MONTHS WAS PLENTY OF TIME TO BUILD A SIMPLE 2'X4' DOOR OR ASK FOR DELAY

      -Mention any additional concerns you would like the business to address - THIS PROJECT WAS DELAYED OVER N OVER SINCE LAST SUMMER, TIMEFRAME FOR A JOB IS A KEY

      -Restate your desired resolution - AT THIS POINT DROPPING OFF A MIDDLE DOOR WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE WITH A REASONABLE ETA SINCE IT'S BEEN ALREADY 2 MONTHS

      -If applicable, please send any documents that support your rebuttal statement - THE VERY LAST STATEMENT, PROMISING DELIVERY OF THE MIDDLE DOOR

      I dropped off the middle door almost a month ago , I did extra labor without being paid extra , I spent more on workers pay then he paid me for the total job ,,,, I've gone up and beyond getting paid ****** labor for a job that I spent over 15 hours on and paid my helpers ****** labor I'm done with this matter

      I just double checked our porch and green house area and nothing has been dropped off at any time at all. This is not a small item that can't be detected ! Also Ive had ADT security cameras that would have detected such activity and nothing has been detected. I'm not sure what ***** is trying to accomplish by claiming that delivery actually happened? I also want to have a closure on this case but at this point ***** is either deeply confused or resorted to lies? If this is not still handled, BBB should consider reflecting these actions in their rating of Rivers2Reefs Tropical fish as a business. The door and completion of my project is considerably less important than the fact that by ******* comments earlier, I suspect that I'm not the only customer whos project has been grossly mishandled !       Sometimes no matter what I do I can't please some clients I've gone up and beyond to try to help von. He added extra work to the project then was upset because it took longer to complete , I told him anytime you add things for me to do uts going to take longer , at a point I felt that no matter what I'd do I never would get paid for my labor so we both decided to part ways , I dropped off the muddle door and had my worker to set it inside his fence he simply lifted it over the 4ft high fence and we left I'm not going to do work and extra work unless I'm going to get paid for my labor , I have given everything he ordered but I choose not to do the installation what he paid for he has received , I've been in business since 2013 without any complaints until now
