This company works with foreign actors to circumvent the Do Not Call list. They are obviously paying for referrals from foreign call centers that spoof US phone numbers and target the elderly in a ******** scam. I received a call today around 1:45pm from them. I am on the do not call list. I was quite clearly initially contacted by a caller from Asia spoofing a US phone number and then transferred to Solid Quote. I informed the agent at Solid Quote what had happened. She was rude and refused to transfer me to a supervisor.Business Response

Hello. The company's response is unacceptable and irrelevant to my complaint. Yes, I was transferred - that is not the point. I am on the National Do Not Call List and was solicited by an apparently foreign call bank using a spoofed phone number and then transferred to the company I complained about. This is a violation of federal law and I suspect the company employs the foreign call bank or rewards them for circumventing US law. This is unacceptable. When I complained to the company, they refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. This spoofing and phishing using foreign call banks needs to end and US companies who avail themselves of these practices should face repercussions.

I have been receiving a criminal amount of harassing phone calls, either directly from SolidQuote or through a company SolidQuote has entered in agreement to have place these calls on their behalf. I have not; requested, implied, or initiated any contact with SolidQuote.I am registered on the National Do Not Call list, I have verbally & clearly expressed to the callers to place me on their do not call list, to stop calling me, to cease all communication with me, only to have no response and dead air, be hung up on, or told we will try back at a better time and then hung up on. I was only finally able to get SolidQuote as the company that was initiating the calls by going along with the call as if I was interested. Thats when I was transfered to SolidQuote. SolidQuote may not be the one that called first, they were the ones that I was transferred to. To be clear, I am in no way, shape, or form wanting these calls. I am not interested in receiving any further marketing by SolidQuote or its entities/affiliates. SolidQuote has hired and/or benefiting from the center that is calling, SolidQuote is responsible to ensure they are using third party companies that are within the law and using ethical tactics. Stating you didn't call is not acceptable and is SolidQuote willfully turning a blind eye to the unwanted, harassing and illegal tactics being used.Business Response

I get non stop spam calls from spoofed numbers so I cant block them from this company. They call pretty much everyday trying to sell me auto insurance even though Im on the do not call list. No matter how many times you tell them to leave you alone they call back the next day. I have called the company direct also several times asking them to remove me from their scammer list and they pretend they dont know what Im talking about. This non stop harassment from solid quote needs to stop as I would never use a company like this and will never give them a ***** no matter how long they continue to harass me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I know solid quote did not call my number. Your out of country call center used to get around the do not call list did. Solid quote needs to get in contact with this call center you use to get around the do not call list and have them remove my number. Im tired of solid quotes call center spamming my phone everyday with unblockable spoofed phone numbers.

I am rejecting this response because:Solid quote is using out of country call centers to get around the do not call list and harass me. They keep saying they did not call me even though I already said it was their call centers. This company does not make the outbound call they only get the inbound call from the call center they hired so they can claim its not them making the call. They are still 100% responsible for the non stop calls Im receiving by paying this center to call me. I now have several calls recorded and the fake numbers they are using and will seek other ways to stop this harassment. They will clearly never admit to what they are doing so no further reply is needed from them.

On 5/30/2023, I used SolidQuote in an attempt to receive quotes for a new auto insurance policy. As part of signing up, I agreed to the following terms as stated on their website:"I hereby consent to receive marketing communications via automated telephone dialing system and/or pre-recorded or artificial voice calls, text messages, and/or emails from SolidQuote and one or more of its marketing partners at the phone number provided above."However, immediately after submitting my information, I became inundated with spam and scam calls from spoofed telephone numbers. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common problem which indicates to me that SolidQuote is knowingly selling/sharing personal information with scammers. Although the list of "marketing partners" includes legitimate insurance companies, some are also apparently scams or affiliated with scammers. I believe this to be illegal, if not at least shady and unethical.For my part, I would like SolidQuote to delete all of my personal information and stop selling/sharing with its "marketing partners". I have already submitted this request through their website but would like to see this done faster than the stated 30 days, as one month is more than enough time for my information to be disseminated further into the black market.However, I also believe that SolidQuote has a responsibility to do a better job of vetting their "marketing partners" lest they potentially be held liable for abetting fraud.Initial Complaint

Multiple times a day I receive unsolicited calls from a call center in either ***** or ********. They are acting as a referral service for SolidQuote. After information is gathered (I give a fake identity to get them to play along) the representative proceeds to transfer me to an agent. They transferred me to an agent at SolidQuote. Obviously SolidQuote is paying a 3rd party to act as a lead generator. Because they are using spoofed numbers and VOIP from overseas, the 3rd party cares nothing about violating the **** and federal law regarding robodialing and the *** list. SolidQuote is actively looking to get around the law to increase their sales. It's unlawful and misleading at best.I am on the federal *** list, and have asked the company that repeatedly calls me from spoofed numbers to stop calling me. That hasn't happened. I have to answer my phone as it could be one of my potential clients or customers. The repeated violations have taken a toll on me, and I seek redress for this grievance. I am rejecting this response because:This is a stock answer given to other complaintants in previous BBB complaint cases. It is without remorse, and done simply to cover yourself from potential backlash. Your company did not directly contact me - This is a purely semantic argument! Instead you paid a 3rd party located overseas to initiate contact using a robo-dialer. This is in direct conflict with US law. You are well aware that you are doing (and continue to do) it with absolute disdain for the law, and for those whom you are affecting. This is clear from the disclaimer you have asked the overseas firm to read before making the final transfer to a your US Agent. You ask them to get the call recipient to agree to hold you harmless even if they are already on any kind of DNC list. This is disgraceful behavior, and it is clear from the previous complaints that it is a pattern. Disregarding it and continue to act in the fashion you have chosen is clearly a violation of law and abhorrent to any self-respecting business. This time (the people you hired to call me) called the wrong guy. One last chance to send me compensation of $1000 for my troubles and inconvenience, and if not acted upon, I give you my assurance I will be filing official complaints with the **** FCC, and law enforcement. Do as you will - but for the love of God, stop trying to circumvent the system and covering up with BS responses like the one you gave to this complaint. Good day!
