    Hired Choppers Fence on recommendation of Team *******************. Fence was installed but needs fixing as gaps were left at the bottom so I can not put rock, dirt or mulch without it falling through to neighbor's yards. Now Choppers is no longer with TDL and TDL claims there is little they can do. Well, they took Choppers money and put them on their Team but now they feel no responsibility for originally recommending this business. I think TDL is complicit to some extent.

With each communication, we have continued to stress the urgency of getting this issue resolved.     I am rejecting this response because: This is the same response I always receive. I think Team ******************* needs to hire another vendor at their expense to complete this job since the original vendor, which they recommended, has not done anything for one year.

When I complain to him originally he came out and had suggestions on how to fix it but has never fixed it. I do believe team ******************* has some responsibility in this matter as they recommended him on their list.

    Hello -

    The consumer has been contacted by us on a number of different occasions, and she is unhappy with our attempts to get the issue resolved with Choppers Fencing. Additionally, the business owner of Choppers has informed us that they have a signed statement of work with this consumer,and even after performing duties beyond the contractual obligations, she is still dissatisfied. Here is the message from Choppers owner:

    I went through my phone, and I got all of the pictures that we took prior to us starting any work on her job site. Furthermore, I have the signed contract of what we are going to provide to her. On top of that, I have reached out to both the installer and both of the salespeople that were with me on the day that we signed the contract and what we were going to provide to her exactly. Her grievance is outside of the scope of work that we were contracted for.

    On 7/21/23 we contacted the company again regarding this complaint.   His response is as follows -- As I surely do not owe anything as it was never part of the contract brought up as an add-on or talked about. The fence was installed the same exact way the old one was taken out. However,I do want to keep Team ******************* in good standing so would be willing to extend the following as an offer in compromise.

    1. Provide the pickets needed to extend the fence down the steps; and
    2. Give $100 towards the labor for installation

    We have genuinely and actively tried to better understand her complaint and make her happy to no avail. Please let me know how to best address this issue (i.e. via the platform or via email communications here), as it is important to us to keep our BBB profile in good standing.

    I am rejecting this response because: The fence WAS NOT installed exactly as it was taken out. My husband and I installed that fence and the pickets went down to the ground. I now have huge gaps on many sections of the fence. ******* even came out to look at the newly installed fence and told me he would use 6" x 8' pickets to replace the short ones. Of course, they would need to be cut down. He also said he would have it completed by the end of 2022. And if he had not come out how would he know to extend the fence down the steps. I have pictures of all the gaps that need to be fixed.

    I went out today and counted that I would need 65 6" x 8' pickets to correct this issue. If Chopper fence thinks that $100 will pay to take down 65 pickets, cut off the longer ones and replace them, he is living in a fantasy.

    I also don't know why Team ******************* isn't stepping in and taking any responsibility for this issue.Chopper was their recommendation.

    April 2022, contract signed and deposit of $1827.40 paid for the repair/replacement of a fence damaged by the ******** Fires.Work was not completed. Permit not obtained.August 2022, request by company to sign contract stating they are not obligated to complete the work then a refund would be issued. Emailed response to company stating I needed check before signing. Previous assurances to do the work and send the check we not done, I responded via email- send me the check then I would sign the contract.

    Last June I had them come out and do a Bid. I chose to go with them. **** took my $2400, and never did the work. There a TON of complaints on Yelp with others that he has robbed blind. Now all of ** have to take him to small claims??? and what wait for a garnishment of possible payments if in our favor? That could take forever. I have emails, texts, proof of payment. **** (supposed Owner) doesn't respond unless you get angry. I have been burnt by companies so many times, I am tired of it. The fence was for my elderly Mother to keep her safe from animals getting into yard, and now I cannot afford to have another company come out because CHOPPERS HAS MY $$$$ and has many other cutomers $$$$. He lies on his reviews when someone post a bad one claiming he doesn't know them at all. Mind you this is from last year June2023. I need something done, and will file complaints across the board until I see him pay all of ** back.

    In May 2022 my neighbor and I contracted with Choppers to share in replacement of a shared fence on one side of my property and I additionally contracted with them to replace the other side of my fence and install a new gate. My neighbor also contracted with them to replace the rest of their fence as well.The first estimate was received on 5/22/2022 and on 5/24/2022 my neighbor paid a 50% deposit in the amount of $1860.50 for the shared portion of the fence. After exchanging emails regarding the work requested on the rest of my project I paid an additional 50% deposit in the amount of $2232.00 via Zelle on 6/7/2022.The project was scheduled to be completed on 7/11 and 7/12. They never called and never showed up. Multiple calls were made by both myself and my neighbor through 7/14 and the voice mail box said it was full each time.On 7/22 I finally reached the owner, ***** who, after offering a myriad of excuses said he thought we were on the schedule for 7/25. Again, no call and no show. After finally reaching ***** on 8/11 he told me someone had come but no one was home. My son was home all day and my porch cameras recorded nothing. And we were told no one had to be home anyway. ***** then said we were on the schedule for 8/15 & 8/16. Another no call, no show.0n 8/22/2022 I received an email saying they had lost some of their crew, that 3 of their trucks were vandalized and tools stolen and 1 truck was burned to the ground and they'd let us know when we were rescheduled for.To date, we've heard NOTHING from them.On 2/13 I emailed them and asked them to consider our contract cancelled due to their non-performance, that I would be finding another company to do any work and asked for a full refund within 10 days. Thus far I have heard nothing.This entire thing has been going on for 9 months with the last communication from them being 6 months ago.

    In May of 2022, I hired Choppers Fencing to replace my fence. They came out and measured my yard, provided an estimate that I accepted. The contract required 50% of the estimate up front so I paid the company $2500. The fence was supposed to be installed within 6-8 weeks. By mid August, I still did not have my fence and I was not even on the schedule. I asked for my money back so that I could hire another fencing company. I received no response. I e-mailed and called repeatedly. Frustrated, I went to Team ******************* since this is one of their recommended companies. Team ******************* was very responsive. They got Choppers to send me a release of contract that stated they would reimburse me my $2500. I signed and submitted the contract on 9/7/22. By early October, I still didn't have my money. I contacted Team ******************* again and have been working with them to try and get reimbursed. On 10/27/22, I received a $500 cashiers check with the promise that I would be paid in full by December 31st. I contacted Team ******************* again at the end of December asking if I would receive my funds and was told that **** ********************* Choppers was not responding. I asked if Team ******************* could reimburse me and collect from Choppers and I was told absolutely not. I am angry that Choppers has not reimbursed me and I am frustrated with Team ******************* for not taking responsibility for one of their recommended companies. I want my $2000 returned to me.

    To whom it may concern, We met with Choppers fencing on 9/15/2022 at 12:30. We decided to go ahead with their services and gave them a check that was dated 9/22/2022 for $1,256. At the time they were given money we were told they would be out in a couple of weeks. We asked several times about how quickly they could come before we went with them because we have a dog and discovered she can get through our fence onto the neighbors yard and this is a problem as she is on someone elses property. They said they understood and even discussed putting up a temporary fence. They never showed. An email was sent as well as phone calls to no avail. I personally went to the office and spoke to ***** about our fencing on 11/3/2022 and when to expect them. He said he was putting in the order to have our yard marked for electrical and they would be out by that Thursday or Friday (11/10-11/11/2022) They never showed to do our fencing. The company has never reached out once with communication that we did not initiate. This last communication was done on 12/28/2022 and they have yet to respond. We would like a refund to part ways. Half of the deposit is our neighbors to which we wrote the check and they are questioning where there money has gone. I have pictures of communications from the company as well as a timeline of all communication. I will go pick up a refund check immediately to be able part ways with this company.

    I contracted with Choppers Fencing LLC for a new fence in *** of 2022. I sent a 50% deposit on 5/18/22 for $1993.50. It has now been 7 months and zero work has been done. They have repeatedly scheduled the job and never showed up. I have emailed and called and received either no response or yet another scheduled date that was never fulfilled. I have also previously requested a refund and received no response.

    To Whom It May ********* am writing this letter as a notice of the dishonest and exploiting business practices of Aurora based business Choppers Fencing LLC owned by ******************************* . He is taking deposits for work to be done as seed money for other jobs and meanwhile never scheduling the job you paid for. Additionally no responding to email or phone correspondences.We reached out on July 5th, 2022 we received a quote of the estimated job to be completed and were told to pay 50% before we could schedule. On July 26, 2022 we paid $3008.00 and still no work has been completed or even scheduled to be completed. After multiple attempts to contact them, we finally received an email on August 9th from Choppers that they would schedule a soft start date of August 26th- August 27th. We once again did not hear from them again until August 29th that they will have further delays due to being vandalized and broken into.We reached out on September 12 to request a discount for now not having scheduled. They responded by offering us a stain treatment'' and still not providing a start date. September 22 I requested to cancel the job and provide a full refund. I still have not received any communication and this issue appeared on FOX 31 news investigative report on Problem Solvers (https://kdvr.com/news/problem-solvers/contractor-delays-cause-homeowners-worry-about-losing-money/)At this point the resolution I desire is a full refund of my $3,008.Sincerely ***********************************

    Date of transaction: 7/8/22 Amount of transaction: deposit, $716 Business has not committed to a date to install fence and they stopped responding to my emails and no one answers the phone. I really need my deposit back so I can find a different fence company to install a privacy wall. This is a security issue for my family and I desperately need the money back as soon as possible so I can pay for the wall to be installed.

    We decided between ***** and us that it was not going to be better for them to use a different contractor. Yeah, it's hard timeline. Kept moving because we were having. Problems keeping the right employees. We set a time up for her to come and pick up. Her money and never showed back up. She has. Recontacted me. Got it today. I just have not responded To her as of yet. And we'll do later on today.

    We agreed to hire Choppers Fencing to replace 9 fence posts in our backyard on 5/18/2022. We paid a 50% deposit of $1,350 on that same date. We contacted them multiple times over several weeks inquiring when our job would be started. We were scheduled for 7/28 & 7/29. That changed to 8/4. Never have they contacted us since paying our deposit. We have had to initiate all contact. They were a no show on 8/4 and we were unable to contact them by phone because their mailbox was full. Same day we emailed Choppers fencing requesting a refund of our $1,350. The owner, *******************************, responded to our email saying the replacement of our posts had been completed and our lattice was scheduled for next week, so no refund would be considered. No work has been started at our home and no lattice is involved. We responded to ******* email with our address and assured him no work has been started and requested a refund of our $1,350 immediately. He responded his sales team made a mistake and he had the wrong customer. He sent a Mutual Release Contract for us to sign and required our negative ****** review to be removed in order for him to return our $1,350. His email stated "As soon as I receive this back and the ****** review is removed, I will Zelle you back your deposit money." We emailed him the signed Release and deleted the ****** review at 2:37pm yesterday 8/4. As of 11am this morning (8/5) we have not received our money back and ***** has not responded to us. Choppers Fencing (and *****) is highly recommended on 850 KOA and is a trusted ******* of **** *******************. We don't want other people to see and hear those "endorsements" and think this is a quality *******. We are very concerned about getting our $1,350 back and do not want to see other people ripped off.Email exchange and Release Contract have been uploaded.
