In April, 2019, I bought a 2018 Buick Encore which was sold to me as "new" even though in 2018 it was a loaner vehicle. When I bought it, I was encouraged to buy an extended warranty through *************** which I did. In July, 2019, my car overheated and I took it into Shortline for service. When I arrived, the service rep told me that my car had a previous overheating problem (as a loaner) and they fixed the problem. I met with ********************* in September 2019 to tell her I wasn't pleased that they kept the 2018 overheating problem from me and if I had known, I would have never bought the car. In September 2023, my car overheated again. I called Shortline and was told that I was not covered by the Shortline Buick warranty, but was now covered under ***************. I didn't trust Shortline to "fix" the problem again, so I took it to Christian ********* Their diagnostic showed that the radiator was restricted. (I have their report and pictures.) The Century adjuster went to Christian ******** to check the diagnostic and reported back to Century. ******* denied the contract saying the radiator had pre-existing problems. After not having my car for almost a week, I had Christian ******** install a new radiator which I paid for. Christian ******** asked if they could cut the old radiator apart and they found white sludge at the bottom which caused the restriction. They called it a product like Stop Leak. Now we are wondering why Shortline put that product in the radiator since that wasn't put in by the factory. Was that supposed to "fix" the overheating problems? Are there more problems with the engine that Shortline isn't telling me? I am sorry I ever bought the car at Shortline and sorry I bought the bumper-to-bumper warranty.

First of all, we never use stop leak in a radiator.  Customer visited me in 2019 July and has never had an over heating problem until September of 2023.  How would we know there was a problem when the car was driven for 4 years without any issues.  I am sorry you feel this way but it would be impossible for us to predict what could potentially happen to your vehicle in 4 years. This was never a new vehicle.  It was a pre-owned loaner vehicle purchased.
